“Finishing the Hat” - Stephen Sondheim (Sunday in the Park with George)This is one of the most elusive songs there is. It was thrilling (and intimidating) to get a first smack at it in front of a New York audience in April with @nyfestivalofsong . Though my work is almost entirely in opera, I dream of getting to play this character in a full production. Congratulations to Theo Hoffman, who starred as Oreste in Gluck’s Iphigénie en Tauride at the Opéra Comique. The production, directed by Wajdi Mouawad, won the Grand Prix at the 63rd palmarès des prix of the Syndicat de la critique théâtre, danse et musique, and returns this November to the Grand Théâtre du Luxembourg. Congratulations, as well, to Summer Hassan for her valiant attempts at censoring Theo’s video for social media. by @talesofhoffman

Proud to unfurl my next year of performances. Everyone around me worked really diligently to make this happen and I am humbled by that effort. Spring always has me thinking of Die Schöne Müllerin, and our sorry protagonist who couldn’t manage to make it through the winter. Grateful to my Müllerin @sina.friedli who gets me through winter.
