Last year, @harlemsfashionrow @hm hosted an #earthday forum that I had the pleasure of speaking at. The topics we discussed were at the intersection of culture and corporate, alongside some of the most genuine, brilliant, and talented minds in the beauty and fashion business. By the end of the day, everyone agreed that sustainability isn’t just about keeping things around; it’s also about sharing the message of the designers and the times we live in. Being invited back to speak on this sold-out date means everything to me. To think I started Talia Bella Closet Sale|Vintage as a college student out of the trunk of my car in Memphis, Tennessee, in order to afford myself opportunities that schloarship didn’t cover, to later leading a conversation about the future of building present-day archives and the practices around it. This is a vision that I had 10+ years ago…and WOW. I’m speechless. Just know you can do it too. “Dressing From the Archive: Craft, Longevity & Modern Luxury” panel this Earth Day will surely be one of the most important talks of my career. I hope to see you there!
