Guys, I made a book! To commemorate the 10th anniversary of @amorandrosas, I dived deep into the brand’s stories, did several interviews, took pictures with @used.issue, learned about their process, and designed this beautiful artisanal book, printed and assembled in Guadalajara with @naveganteartemultiple. Thank you, @lala.la.land for this wonderful opportunity to tell your story and the brand’s! And thank you to everyone on the brand’s team for making this one of the most fun experiences @mademoiselle.marielle ❤️🥹 Cliché, but it was truly a labour of love and several months of work. What happens when you find inspiration in your favorite things? As a big fan of the @karmele.reposteria in Guadalajara, I thought: wouldn’t it be fun for the karmelito to be a necklace? Considering the karmelito is such an icon in the local scene and this particular bread is sold by the hundreds on a daily basis. With that in mind, I asked my dear friend from @calizajewelry to show me how to turn the karmelito into a silver jewelry piece. So, with her help, this pendant came to live. 💚 A fun editorial experiment to showcase the merge of food + jewelry and local spirit. *This is a pendant inspired by Karmele, not an official collab. taken in Karmele by @taliacu

Para conmemorar los 10 años de Amor & Rosas (@amorandrosas), @taliacu investigó la historia de la marca, conversó con quienes han formado parte de ella, realizó fotografías y desarrolló el diseño de esta publicación. En Navegante nos encargamos de llevar este proyecto al papel, acompañando su impresión y ensamblaje. Something recently caught my eye: so many women still wearing the beaded hair ties that we all wore or remember from growing up. I see them holding braids, ponytails and more. So I wondered, what would it look like if the ball hair ties were reinterpreted by a Latin brand? A first thought was: which brands have a recognisable universe that would be easy to put into a hair tie? Annaiss Yucra came to mind. So here’s a fun little speculative drawing of what it would look like, interpreted through my eyes. What brand should I do next? #latinzineworld #latinzine by @taliacu
