Summertime and the livin is HARD and BEAUTIFUL. We really needed to reset from this year. Nature has helped us heal in so many ways and I am truly grateful to be a witness of all her beauty. You have made your impact on this world in so many beautiful ways and I know you will continue to do so. From your films, your heart, your incredible gifts, your amazing daughter, you have challenged and changed the world around you. 🌎

You are one of one, the only one! Fierce, smart, driven and the perfect amount of late. Your fashion and style sets you apart and your gorgeous smile made me feel like I've known you forever. I'm so thankful for all that you are. ✨

Watching you go through one of the hardest years has only made me love you even more. You are tender and caring, you are gentle and kind. You and your family are some of the greatest examples of the good that can be. Beelyn and your dad are always with you, you carry their legacy forward. 💔

I'm beyond grateful to have had you when losing grandma. You made her feel special, cleaned her room, arranged her flowers and loved on her. 😭

I am opening for the amazing @daniellenicoleband at two shows!

First we hit Moes Alley in Santa Cruz- Wed Aug 26. @moesalley

Then I open for her at Peppermint Club in Los Angeles- Thu Aug 27th!

I'm so stoked to open for Danielle and her band, she is an incredible singer and bass player and her band is 🔥🔥🔥

It's been a slower year for me, which has been good so we can be with family. I've been thankful to be there for our family members as they passed onto the next realm. It's been one of life's biggest and hardest lessons. And it hurts.

All I know is I am looking forward to getting back on stage this weekend. Music heals. If you let it. I know some songs are working their way from the heavens through my soul. I just need to be open to them ⚡️💔😭

Heading to our home away from home to ply two nights, no repeat songs. 3.5 hours each night. We got this. @melahnadragon

This year has tested us in too many ways. Loss has been abundant. My heart aches right now.

My beloved Grandma Judy passed away this morning at the age of 87. She was my everything. The kindest, most gentle, sweet and supportive woman I know. She helped raise me. She took our family in when our house burnt down when I was a baby, making sure we were safe. She loved me no matter what and supported me in so many ways. She made the best spaghetti and meatballs EVER. Her cooking was special. Her hospitality top notch. You couldn't leave the kitchen without a drink or snack. She came to most of my big shows, showing up early and staying til after the show to hug me and tell me how proud she was. She made me feel special, loved and safe. I loved having sleepovers when I was little and any chance at meeting her for breakfast. We spent almost every Christmas together and she is the reason I love all things haunted and spooky. I cherish the time we spent. She made sure I was always included.

The last few years have been really hard, she had some bad falls and never recovered. The last few months she has been in her bed all day and night. That was so hard to see, she was once a short fit woman who worked 12 hour shifts at RC Willey. Her boyfriend Blair passed away last year and that broke her heart. Broke mine too. When my dad passed years ago, she made sure we kids were ok. But she wasn't. She was selfless. Her ancestors, Blair and my dad were waiting for her.

There is so much more to say but this woman represents all that is great in the world. She loved all her kids, grandkids, great grandkids, her friends and family. She will be missed terribly.

Thank you to my aunt Gina for taking on the brunt of being her caregiver. No easy task, but you made her feel so loved and taken care of.
