3 years ago today, 10/6/23, I made the bravest decision I’ve ever made to get top surgery. It was hands-down the best self-investment I’ve made in my entire life and I’ve never had a second of regret about it. 🏳️‍⚧️

Waking up every day with a flat chest is a visceral reminder that I choose myself. I love myself. I protect myself. And I trust myself, more than I ever did before. In hard times, I remember that I can do hard things. This is my life and this is MY body. The reflection I see in the mirror is congruent with how I view myself. And it might all sound cheesy, but it’s true.

In these 3 years I’ve gained more self-confidence than I ever had before top surgery. I started standup comedy. I started producing Strapped-In! I hug friends tighter. Swimming feels incredible. I go out dancing sometimes (well more like wiggling, but whatever) and have so much fun. I like how I look in a tight shirt! I can’t fully put into words how life-giving my top surgery continues to be, but thankfully I anticipate that won’t ever change.

It’s beautiful reflecting on 3 full years. I could never possibly say thank you enough to everyone who’s believed in me and supported me in this journey — but I am beyond grateful to my community. Especially to my chosen family, you know who you are! 🫂🩷

And lastly, to young Tal who felt so confused, and struggled realllllly hard — I love you! ~cheers to clarity~ ✨

The next Natasha's Brian's Nic's Little Treasures is HALLOWEEN THEMED -- you will NOT want to miss this one! It's gonna be wild and maybe a lil spooky! It's also gonna be the last Little Treasures show of 2026 so come close out the first year of NBNLT with us (don't worry -- we'll be back in January with another banger). taken in Standing Stone Wines VT by @talifrieds
