⁨ את הצילום הזה ״גיליתי״ רק אחרי שהורדתי למחשב.
במבט שני (ראשון) פתאום לא הייתי בטוחה על מי אני מביטה, על הילד בן הדקה ל-8 שצילמתי, או על הנער/גבר צעיר שהוא יהפוך להיות עוד שנים מעטות.

במדינה הזאת להתבגרות הרבה משמעויות, וכאמא זה שלב שהוא קשה פי כמה, שאני עוד לא יכולה אפילו לדמיין.⁩ והמבט שלי על הקסדה והמבט הספק ילדי- ספק בוגר שלו עצר אותי להתבונן בעתיד. by @talithad_ph

בתצוגת המסלול הראשונה שלה בניו יורק, ליהי הוד הייתה יכולה לעשות את הדבר המתבקש: לפתוח בכלה. במקום זאת היא שלחה אל המסלול אישה הרה וילדה קטנה. זו הייתה בחירה כמעט קולנועית, אבל בעיקר הצהרת כוונות. אחרי יותר מ-15 שנה של שמלות כלה, קוטור, שבועות אופנה, קניינים ושווקים בין-לאומיים, הוד רצתה לדבר על מה שנמצא מתחת לשמלה. על האישה. על ההתבגרות. על אמהות. על זיכרון, המשכיות ובחירה. “אני מרגישה שזה מעבר לשמלה”, היא אומרת לי במהלך השיחה, והמשפט הזה הולך איתי הרבה אחרי שהראיון מסתיים. כי אפשר לספר את הקריירה שלה דרך שנקר, ניו יורק, פריז, ג’ון גליאנו, שתי שמלות כלה שנולדו כמעט במקרה והפכו לבית אופנה שנמכר בעולם. אבל הסיפור המעניין באמת הוא איך ילדה שגזרה כל דבר שמצאה בבית הפכה למעצבת שמבינה היום שהחומר החשוב ביותר שאיתו היא עובדת אינו תחרה, טול או משי. הוא החיים עצמם.

⁨ The other sides. Ksenia.

אחד הדברים שאני הכי אוהבת בצילום אנשים, הוא להראות את הצדדים האחרים שיש לנו.
אלו שנחבאים אל הכלים, אלו שאנחנו חוששות להראות לפעמים, מפחדים שיחשבו עלינו כל מיני דברים, אולן שאנחנו מתנשאות, אולי שאנחנו בעצם חזקות, שאנחנו יודעות לעמוד על שלנו.
אז אנחנו מקטינות את עצמנו, גם בצילומים שאנחנו עושות.
