Expensive Founder Lesson
We f*cked up 😅

Our first bulk order arrived with PVA listed on the box… except there’s ZERO PVA in our sheets.

We had already changed the formula to keep our sheets 100% plastic free, but the packaging had already gone to print. The website was updated, people were notified, but we hadn’t done a video!!!

So yep, the box is wrong. The sheets are not.

Zero PVA. Zero plastic sheets. Just a very expensive little founder lesson. 😂 by @talkdirty_co

I really thought these two pillows were toast! Elderberry juice is very dark, and I have dreaded getting it on any clothes, let alone on anything white!

Using @talkdirty_co sheets as they are epic! I gave these a little spray with our little mix, and then put 1/2 sheet on cold wash. They came out lovely and white, smelling fresh, no vomit smell lingering…now I’m washing all the pillows!

When a flare up shows up, it's never just one thing to check. What's touching their skin, what's in their gut, their environment, there's so much to look at.

We did check the laundry. We bought the 'sensitive skin' one, the one with the leaf on the front, the one that promised gentle. Turns out 'sensitive skin' isn't a regulated term, anyone can put it on a label. The nasties were still in there, just hidden better.

Switching from liquid or powder feels like a big change for something so small.

So here's everything we wish someone had told us, all in one spot.

The big one? It goes in the drum with your clothes, not in the detergent drawer. That's the difference between a sheet that disappears and one that leaves you wondering what happened.

We get asked this one a lot

'But do sheets actually clean?'

Honestly, fair question. They're thin, they weigh next to nothing and they look nothing like what most of us grew up with. So we thought we'd let the washing answer it.

Stained tees, grubby sneakers, a white top that had definitely seen better days.

Our little trick for the tough stuff: dissolve half a sheet in a spray bottle of water and spritz it straight onto the stains before the wash. Then everything goes in with a sheet, and the sneakers go in our Dirty Little Laundry Bag so they don't bash around the drum.

The clean comes from the surfactants and enzymes doing their job, not from a big bottle or a strong smell. And the formula's naked: no fillers, no optical brighteners, no PVA film.

🛑Stop cramming your washing machine!
Here’s why overpacking is ruining your clothes and costing you money:

> Dirty clothes: No room to tumble means dirt and detergent get trapped in your laundry.

> Machine damage: Heavy loads strain the motor and snap belts (super exxy)

> Ruined fabrics: Excess friction leads to pilling, tearing, and stretched out clothes.

> Golden Rule: Use the one hand test 🤚. If you can’t fit your hand comfortably above the clothes, then take some out!

Who’s guilty of leaving stained clothes for later???? To be honest I rarely treat stains when I see them, sometimes they stay in the basket for days until I get to the washing.

I can’t be the only one?

I made a Laksa last night and I didn’t even think about taking my daughters cardi off before she got stuck into her meal, and kind of instantly regretted it because she enjoyed it so much she shared it with her clothes, even with a bib on.

Luckily I’ve got my trusty pre-treat spray in a bottle ready to tackle the stains so she can continue to enjoy her food in whatever she’s wearing.

Quick spray ( sheet dissolved in water in spray bottle with a squirt of dish liquid ), straight into a cold wash with other clothes and a sheet. This time was dried in the dryer, and wallah!
