This June was one for the books. From watching my bestie get an award, to meeting Wilson Cruz, seeing the first 2 episodes with cast and crew of X-Men 97 at The Tribeca Film Festival, to a garden party hosted by two favorite people, seeing Jonalle Monae in concert for North2Shore Festival, to seeing Cats: Jellicle Ball on Broadway w/ Cynthia friggin Erivo as a guest judge that night, to finish off the month walking in the PRIDE parade this past Sunday, which was so absolutely amazing and again with some of the folks I love the most. To my bestie, my brother, my partooni partner, my non-romantic soulmate: it’s been 27 years. 27 years of laughing (so, so much laughter), crying, scheming, and doing life together. I honestly can’t picture my life without you. I’m so proud of the man you’ve become: steady, loving, supportive, and endlessly encouraging. I don’t need just today as a day to remind and celebrate you, buuuuuutttt…..

Today you turn 45 — a milestone worth celebrating. I’m grateful for every memory we’ve made and excited for all that’s still to come. Taking a moment from how crazy life is to celebrate the most amazing man. Love my bestfriend he is unflinching in his support, he loves with his whole body and he is the nerd of all nerds so everyday can be an adventure. Here I am, entering the last chapter of my forties, feeling grateful and especially excited. I was afraid of my forties because everyone else was, but what I found was that the start of my forties was grounded in so much of me growing personally, professionally, and most important emotionally. By my mid forties, those years really allowed and taught me to get to the core of finding out who I was, what makes me happy and how to keep that light and love. I think I’ve done it. I’ve surrounded myself with family and friends who love me. They hold me down and I couldn’t ask for more. I continue to do the work on myself and ensure that no matter what, I stay true to those wonderful life tenets. Life has taught me so much, and I’m ready to embrace new adventures and experiences.

So here’s to staying vibrant and open to all the amazing possibilities that the future holds! Thank you for all the birthday well wishes everyone! I love you all!❤️

Last weekend at C2E2. As always, I had a blast with people I adore and made new friends. Got to wear really fun cosplays including my new favorite of Rain in his classic ninja look from Mortal Kombat 3. I got to even meet the artist who drew the art for the arcade cabinets of the original MK.
