Put me in a room with young people who are full of potential, and I come alive! ✨

Especially when those young people are surrounded by parents who are rooting for them and organisations that are willing to invest in their future.

That’s where I want to be.

Because so much of my purpose is wrapped up in making sure our children see what is possible for their lives — that they learn to believe in themselves, tap into their full potential with confidence, and have the tools to face the obstacles that will inevitably come.

Not just “you can do it” motivation — but real HOPE.
Confidence.
Courage.
Tools.
And people around them saying, “We see you. We believe in you. Keep going.”

That’s why it was such a JOY to serve as Guest Speaker at the Jamaica Police Co-operative Credit Union Limited (JPCCU) 2026 PEP Scholarship and Bursary Awards.

Thank you @jpccu JPCCU for inviting me into this space and, even more importantly, for putting tangible support behind the potential of our children. This is what investing in Jamaica’s future looks like. 🇯🇲

And to every single awardee — CONGRATULATIONS! 👏🏽🎓

I am PROUD of you.

PEP is one chapter. There is so much more ahead of you. Keep learning, keep discovering who you are, keep building your confidence, and when the obstacles come — because they will — remember that you have what it takes to work through them.

Your potential is yours to unlock. Go get it! 💛✨

Disaster recovery cannot end when the immediate relief effort ends. For rural farming communities, recovery has to be sustained, coordinated and built for the long term. 🌱🇯🇲

Our recent Kilmarnock Farmers’ Town Hall, serving farmers across St. Elizabeth and Westmoreland, was another step in that journey—connecting our farming community directly with partners, resources and opportunities that can help them replant, restore livelihoods and strengthen food security after the storm.

A special thank you to the Coconut Industry Board and the Forestry Department for showing up for our farmers and providing critical planting material, including coconut seedlings, fruit trees, timber trees and ornamentals.

Thank you also to the Talk Up Yout team and Talawah Initiative, and to every partner and community member whose coordination and logistical support made the Town Hall and distribution possible. This kind of execution only happens when partnership meets purpose on the ground.

But this cannot be a one-off intervention.

We want to continue connecting corporate Jamaica, social-good partners, development agencies and other stakeholders with the farmers of Kilmarnock. There is an opportunity to think bigger—beyond immediate recovery and toward multi-year partnerships that strengthen farming, food security, climate resilience, reforestation, livelihoods and the wider rural economy.

To everyone who showed up at our Town Hall: thank you.

And to organizations asking where they can make a meaningful difference after a disaster: our rural farmers still need you. There is more work to be done.

Stay tuned to this space as we share more from the Kilmarnock Farmers’ Town Hall, highlight the farmers themselves, identify areas where support is still needed, and continue building the partnerships required for long-term recovery.

Recovery is not a moment. It is a commitment. 🌱

Loads of Blessings,

Emprezz Golding

Game on! Children enjoyed a lively round of tic-tac-toe at the OCA’s activity and information booth during a Farmers’ Town Hall in Kilmarnock, St. Elizabeth, on Saturday, August 22.

The event, organized by Talk Up Yout, provided an engaging opportunity for the OCA to connect with children and families while sharing important information about children’s rights and the role of the Office.

🔥⚽ WHAT A SUCCESS!

The first staging of our Girls’ Football Summer Camp brought together girls ages 7–12 from St. Ann, Manchester, Kingston, and St. Andrew for an exciting week of football, fun, confidence, and growth.

From beginners and curious first-timers to advanced young players, every girl showed up ready to learn, develop her skills, and enjoy the game. 💪🏾

Parents watched proudly from the sidelines, discovering that football is not only for their sons—it is time to develop our girls too!

Inspired by Jamaica’s Reggae Girlz, we are creating opportunities for the next generation of female footballers to dream bigger, stand taller, and believe in themselves on and off the field. 🇯🇲

Big thanks to Coach Livi, Coach Natasha, Abbigail, Reneece, Adrianna, Ayanna, Camp Manager Emprezz Golding, our host moms, parents, volunteers, and every partner who believed in the vision.

Special thanks to Talk Up Yout, Football for the World, NCB Foundation, Hertz, JN, VM Foundation, Kool Kidz, Gatorade, Xpress sports and Football Factory.

This is more than football—it is a movement.

🚀 Road to 2031. We are just getting started!

Girls’ Football Summer Camp Scores Big in Its First Staging

Check out our first 2 /5 days!

The inaugural Girls’ Football Summer Camp has been hailed a major success, bringing together girls ages 7 to 12 from St. Ann, Manchester, Kingston, and St. Andrew for an unforgettable experience of learning, growth, and fun.

Designed to introduce more girls to the beautiful game while developing their confidence both on and off the field, the camp welcomed participants of every skill level—from complete beginners and curious first-timers to girls with more advanced football experience. Every participant was encouraged, challenged, and celebrated as they learned new techniques, built friendships, and discovered their potential.

The atmosphere was filled with excitement as parents watched from the sidelines. Many moms and dads admitted they were initially curious.

“I’m used to football being something my son plays,” was a common sentiment. But by the end of the camp, many had become enthusiastic supporters of girls’ football, witnessing firsthand the passion, determination, and talent displayed by the young participants.

The camp is about much more than football. It is about empowering girls, building confidence, encouraging teamwork, and creating opportunities for the next generation to dream bigger.

With Jamaica’s Reggae Girlz continuing to inspire young women across the country and around the world, there has never been a better time to invest in girls’ football. The future of the sport is bright, and these young players are proof that the pipeline of talent is growing.

To every parent who entrusted us with their daughters, thank you. To every coach, volunteer, and supporter who gave their time and energy, thank you. And to every partner who believed in this vision from the very beginning, your support made this milestone possible.

This is only the beginning.

Together, we are developing girls, creating opportunities, and building the future of women’s football in Jamaica—one kick, one smile, and one confident young girl at a time. by @talkupyout
