So thrilled we got to meet @mckennawoliczko today! 5 ⭐️ recruit from California & we are just so excited that we had to meet her before she’s even played a game at @IowaWBB. As expected, she’s extremely nice, & even remembered us saying “Go Hawks” at last year’s Fry Fest!💛

Since we have no more Happy Joe’s Pizza places left in Cedar Rapids, Iowa (still bitter about that), a road trip was necessary to eat the greatest pizza on Earth! Today we made the two-hour round trip to Cascade. It never disappoints! taken in Happy Joe’s Pizza - Cascade by @tallicamike

My daughter and I attended the annual #fryfest, celebrating all things Iowa Hawkeyes. We went specifically for the @iowawbb autograph signing session. 11 of the 14 current players were present, and even an appearance by the new Head Hawk herself, @janjensen13! Every single woman on the team is so friendly and lovable… no wonder this program is so much fun to follow and so joyful to watch! Year 2 of Season Tickets here we come!!! #iowahawkeyes #iowawomensbasketball by @tallicamike

Well, we survived Metallica Weekend in Minneapolis! Two Metallica shows, with a @_bastardane_ and @otttoband show and a @rosshalfin book signing event sandwiched in between! My daughter and I both got to touch James while he was performing right in front of us!! It sounds like she was being attacked, but that just shows our excitement level! We caught lots of guitar picks, Kirk smiled at us, and we made lots of eye contact with James, Kirk and Rob!!! Thank you to Metallica for making this one of the most memorable weekends of my life! Forever the greatest 🤘🏼🖤 #m72minneapolis #metallica taken in U.S. Bank Stadium by @tallicamike

Saturday afternoon, in between the two @metallica shows in Minneapolis, we attended the @rosshalfin book signing event. We were hoping that one or more Metallica members would appear. Unannounced, a door opened and @kirkhammett and @robtrujillo walked in! The crowd erupted in excitement!! It was so cool to see them off the concert stage and hear stories behind the photos of Metalli-history! Lots of laughter! It was such a great time!!! #m72minneapolis #rosshalfin #metallica taken in Minneapolis Institute of Art by @tallicamike

Went to see James Hetfield’s son @castorhetfield and his band @_bastardane_ and @robtrujillo’s son @tyetru and his band @otttoband in between the two Metallica shows. They killed it! We also saw Robert walk by, saw Cali Hetfield, James’ daughter, saw Tye in the crowd, met Castor and saw James in the balcony during the show and saw him leave Varsity Theater!!! Bring on Night 2 of @metallica 🤘🏼 #metallica #bastardane #ottto taken in Varsity Theater by @tallicamike

Night 1 of 2 of Metallica in Minneapolis complete, along with our screaming, singing and yelling! My daughter and I were in the Snake Pit for the first time and it was the best concert experience I’ve ever had! Metallica are on a level all their own - completely untouchable! My 17th time experiencing them live, and it seems like each time they keep topping themselves! Absolutely incredible!! So pumped to do it all over again Sunday night, with a whole new setlist!! Let’s “FOCKING” go!!! #MetonTour #M72Minneapolis #M72 #Metallica taken in U.S. Bank Stadium by @tallicamike
