PART 9: AND THEN IT WAS MORNING. 🇬🇷

Eventually, even Mykonos runs out of night.

The music stopped.

The tables survived—barely.

The last glasses were emptied, the final questionable decisions were made, and 130 exhausted lunatics disappeared into the darkness knowing that when the sun came back up…

we had a fucking wedding to attend.

Except this time, it was ours.

And just like that, the chaos went quiet.

Morning.

September 20, 2025.

The day that had lived on calendars, spreadsheets, emails, plane tickets and conversations for what felt like forever had finally become today.

In one room, Kelsey was getting ready with the girls.

In another, I was getting dressed with the guys.

Same island.

Same morning.

Two completely different rooms full of nerves, laughter, champagne, people running around, and that strange electricity you feel when everybody knows something huge is about to happen.

For the first time all week, time suddenly mattered.

Every minute was pulling us closer.

The suit went on.

The dress went on.

The drinks were poured.

The cameras started rolling.

And somewhere in the middle of all of it, between the jokes and the nerves and trying to comprehend what was actually happening, one thought kept coming back:

Holy shit. I’m marrying Kelsey today.

Five years earlier, we were just two people who had somehow found each other.

Now we were on our favorite island in the world, surrounded by everyone we loved, getting ready to make the biggest promise of our lives.

No more rehearsal.

No more countdown.

No more “when we get married.”

This was the day.

THE WEDDING FILM
PART 9 OF 10 🇬🇷🥂

The shirts were buttoned.

The dress was on.

The island was waiting.

And somewhere across Mykonos…

my future wife was getting ready to meet me at the end of the aisle.

One chapter left.

PART 8: THE TABLES NEVER STOOD A CHANCE. 🇬🇷

There is a very fine line between a tasteful rehearsal dinner and a full-scale Greek bacchanal.

We crossed it somewhere around the second round of wine.

Nikolas Taverna had started the night looking respectable enough.

Long tables.

Beautiful food.

Family.

Friends.

Speeches.

Tears.

People pretending we were all civilized adults.

And then somebody stood on a chair.

Then somebody stood on a table.

And within minutes, the entire concept of furniture had changed.

Tables were no longer for eating.

Tables were for dancing.

The music got louder.

The glasses went up.

Shoes became optional.

And suddenly our quiet little rehearsal dinner had turned into 130 people pounding on tables, screaming lyrics, raising glasses, and behaving like the island might sink into the Aegean before sunrise.

This is the part nobody tells you about destination weddings.

You spend months planning every detail.

Seating charts.

Menus.

Transportation.

Timelines.

And then Greece looks at your little itinerary and says:

That’s cute.

Because the best moments were never on the schedule.

They were the ones that happened when everyone stopped caring what time it was.

When parents danced with friends.

When friends became family.

When the whole room climbed onto tables together and collectively decided tomorrow could deal with tomorrow.

And there I was, looking around at the absolute beautiful disaster we had created, thinking:

This is exactly how I wanted it.

No velvet ropes.

No perfect posture.

No pretending.

Just our people.

In Greece.

Losing their fucking minds.

And somehow…

we still had to get married the next day.

PART 7: NIKOLAS TAVERNA. 🇬🇷

At some point, every great week needs one night where the madness slows down just enough for you to realize what the hell is actually happening.

For us, that night was at Nikolas Taverna.

No nightclub.

No strobe lights.

No hostile takeover of Mykonos Town.

Just long tables, Greek food, wine, the sea nearby, and the people we love packed together under the night sky.

The rehearsal dinner.

Which sounds very civilized.

It was not.

Because once you put our friends and family at one table in Greece and start pouring wine, “rehearsal dinner” becomes a loose legal term.

There were speeches.

There were tears.

There was laughing loud enough to concern neighboring islands.

There was that unmistakable feeling that everybody sitting there knew we were standing on the edge of something big.

And somewhere between the plates hitting the table and the glasses going back up, I remember looking around and thinking:

This is it.

These are our people.

They crossed an ocean for us.

They took off work.

They rearranged their lives.

They flew halfway around the world just to sit at these tables and be part of ours.

That’s a feeling I don’t think I’ll ever be able to properly explain.

For one night, the insanity stopped being insanity.

It became gratitude.

It became family.

It became one of those memories you wish you could crawl back inside for five more minutes.

And tomorrow…

we were getting married.

(Part 6) PART 6: SOMEHOW, WE SURVIVED. 🇬🇷

Morning came to Mykonos with all the subtlety of a police raid.

The sun was offensive.

Coffee became medicine.

Several people were piecing together the previous night from videos they had absolutely no memory of taking.

And somewhere beneath the hangovers, the lost sunglasses, the unexplained bruises and the growing suspicion that we had already pushed this trip too far…

there was one small problem:

We still had a wedding to get to.

This whole week had started to feel like a fever dream.

Everywhere we looked were people we loved.

Every night became a story.

Every story became progressively less believable.

And somehow, right in the middle of all that beautiful insanity, it started to hit me:

This wasn’t just another night in Mykonos.

These weren’t just parties.

These were the last few days before Kelsey and I became husband and wife.

For years, September 20th had been some distant date on a calendar.

Now it was coming at us like a freight train.

And we were meeting it exactly the way you’d expect:

underslept, over-served, surrounded by 130 lunatics, and having the time of our fucking lives.

There was no turning back now.

Not that either of us wanted to.

The island had us.

The people had arrived.

The fuse had been lit.

And the wedding was getting dangerously close.

THE WEDDING FILM
PART 6 OF 10 🇬🇷🥂

We had survived the beginning.

The real madness was still ahead.

PART 5: THE WHITE PARTY AFTER THE WHITE PARTY. 🇬🇷

The welcome party was over.

At least that’s what the schedule said.

But schedules are fragile little things in Mykonos.

So there we were — an army of people dressed head-to-toe in white, pouring into La Barran in Mykonos Town like some kind of extremely well-dressed cult that had just received new instructions from God.

Nobody went home.

Nobody changed.

Nobody made a responsible decision.

We simply moved the operation.

The narrow streets of Mykonos became our hallway.

@labarranmykonos became our living room.

And approximately 130 people in white decided that the only reasonable response to an already ridiculous night was to make it significantly more ridiculous.

Drinks appeared.

Music got louder.

Shirts started opening.

Voices disappeared.

Tomorrow became a problem for tomorrow.

And somewhere deep into the night, I remember looking around at all these people — friends, family, lunatics we somehow convinced to fly across the world — and realizing:

Holy shit. They actually came.

Not just to watch us get married.

They came to be part of the story.

And by this point, the story had completely escaped containment.

This wasn’t an after-party anymore.

It was a hostile takeover of Mykonos Town conducted entirely in white linen.

No casualties.

Several questionable decisions.

Absolutely no regrets.

PART 5 OF 10 🇬🇷🥂

PART 4: THE SITUATION DETERIORATES. 🇬🇷

By this point, Mykonos had stopped being an island and become a full-blown psychological condition.

Time was meaningless.

Sleep was for cowards.

Champagne had replaced water.

Nobody knew what day it was, where their sunglasses were, or why there were suddenly 14 people standing on a table screaming lyrics to a song none of us actually knew.

And somehow…

we were still only getting started.

There is a very specific moment at every destination wedding when the carefully planned itinerary quietly gets dragged behind a building and executed.

This was that moment.

The Greeks had taken control.

The music got louder.

The sun got lower.

The shirts got more unbuttoned.

The decision-making became increasingly democratic and increasingly terrible.

And 130 people who had traveled halfway around the goddamn planet suddenly realized there was nowhere else on Earth they needed to be.

No work.

No responsibilities.

No tomorrow.

Just Mykonos.

Just us.

Just one gigantic, sunburned, champagne-soaked family moving together toward the inevitable conclusion that somebody was going to end up dancing on furniture.

Possibly all of us.

We came here for a wedding.

We accidentally started a small Mediterranean religion.

And our only commandment was simple:

MALAKAS LIVE FOREVER.

(Part 3) ONE YEAR AGO. MYKONOS, GREECE. 🇬🇷

Somewhere between the planes landing, the champagne pouring, 130 of our favorite people taking over an island, and the sun setting over the Aegean… we got married.

And somehow, a full year later, I still don’t know how to properly explain what that week felt like.

It wasn’t just a wedding.

It was absolute fucking magic.

It was years of waiting, months of planning, thousands of miles traveled, friends and family from every chapter of our lives, and one tiny Greek island somehow holding all of it at once.

So instead of trying to squeeze the greatest week of our lives into one anniversary post, I’m doing the only reasonable thing:

I’m turning it into a 10-part series.

The people.
The parties.
The speeches.
The tears.
The table dancing.
The bad decisions.
The unbelievable views.
And finally… the moment we became husband and wife.

One year later, I’d do every insane second of it all over again.

Happy first anniversary to us. ❤️

(Part 2) A year ago, 130 reasonably intelligent adults boarded airplanes and traveled thousands of miles to a tiny island in the Aegean Sea because Kelsey and I decided getting married in New Jersey simply wasn’t complicated enough.

What followed was several days of sun, champagne, questionable judgment, loud music, emotional speeches, table dancing, Greek hospitality, very little sleep…

…and eventually, a wedding.

September 20, 2025.

Mykonos.

The greatest week of our lives.

I’ve spent the last year trying to figure out how the hell you summarize something like that in an Instagram caption.

Turns out you don’t.

You release the evidence.

So on our first anniversary, the tapes are finally coming out.

10 parts.

The story of how a cigarette burn in the front seat of an Escalade somehow ended with the two of us standing on a Greek island promising each other forever.

She burned a hole in my seat.

Then she burned a hole in my heart.

And somehow, against all odds, we made it to Mykonos.

(Part 1) 365 DAYS AGO, WE TOOK OVER MYKONOS.

We brought 130 people halfway around the world.

We drank.
We danced.
We cried.
We climbed on tables.
We made questionable decisions beneath the Greek sun.

And somewhere in the middle of all that beautiful chaos…

we got married.

September 20, 2025.

A date that will forever divide my life into two parts:

everything before Mykonos… and everything after it.

There is absolutely no way to tell this story in one video.

So I’m not going to.

For our first anniversary, I’m finally releasing the wedding film the way this ridiculous, beautiful week deserves to be remembered:

10 parts.

Ten chapters from the greatest party we ever threw, surrounded by the people we love most, on our favorite island in the world.

Welcome back to Mykonos.

May your life together remain easy where it can, strong where it must, and always better because you are sharing it.
I want to thank you both for trusting me to officiate your union.
