A HUGE thank you to everyone this year who’s streamed our tunes, bought some merch, and most importantly, thrown down in the pit.

It’s been another weird rollercoaster year during these horrendous lockdowns, but when we’ve been able to actually hit the stage it’s been an absolute ripper. We launched two of our biggest singles to date this year, ‘State Of Disaster’ & ‘E.G.O.S’ have been huge to get into the world and help develop our sound to the best it can be.

Few thank you’s to some stand-out people that have helped us through the year.

@will.pain_ the legend who became our bassist this year when we were in strife and has been an absolute godsend to work with. @izzyblumberg the photographer machine who’s covered almost every second of the year. @oh_sweet_william for helping us track and let us annoy him for hours on end. @sambassal for his masterstroke work on EGOS with us. The gang @theloudnoiseestate for remotely producing SOD and taking on every tiny detail we wanted changed. And the luscious Tom @ausgovernmentofficial for his sound engineering. Without y’all, we couldn’t have made this year possible ❤️❤️❤️

Now that daddy dan has let us out for the moment, we’ve been tinkering with some ideas in the studio and have got some absolute heaters coming your way early next year.

Big ups to everyone sticking through this year, we’ll have a pit and some new tunes ready for ya come 2022 🥵🥵🥵 by @tallrelativesband

$FIRED UP AND READY TO DESTROY, Tall Relatives are on the warpath and sending the Economy straight back to its firey hell, raising money for EP #2. All of you countless warriors who stood brave with us in June stood tall in the face of the Economy shutting us down. But this time, TALL RELATIVES have an army of hundreds, and this time we battle at @theevelynhotel , on Friday August 13, and we will see a gruesome end to the tyrannical reign of The Economy. We are making 0 hesitations this time, armed with the ravolturous presence of @ramonaskyband , alongside the brutally bludgeoned fun time party of @flogsss . March with us, journey with us, celebrate with us, together we can ruthlessly end the catastrophic Economy, making this great place one for the people, not the providence of wealth. \\\ Ramona Sky are a four piece funk rock band from Melbourne's northern suburbs. Since forming in mid 2020 and debuting post lockdown, the band have been playing loads of shows around Melbourne, and are currently working towards releasing their first EP. Inspired by the funky sounds of INXS, RHCP, and the 60s/70s vintage rock era such as Fleetwood Mac, Ramona Sky incorporates rhythmic basslines, bright guitar rhythms, groovy drum beats and powerful vocals with an overall upbeat vibe. The group met online during Covid lockdown and were lucky enough to instantly click and ultimately create a unique and passionate outcome. \\\ Flogs are a funtime party band hailing from the crusty streets of Melbournes north, Flogs cut their teeth in the same streets playing Melbourne’s famous dive bars to then taking their antics on the road to spread the good word about what it means to be a derelict in modern Australia, a term coined Flog. Riders and kegs beware because it’s a bad day to be a beer if these guys are on the lineup \\\ We acknowledge that this event takes place in stolen land of the Boon Wurrung people. We would like to pay our respects to their elders past, present and emerging as first Artists, musicians and creatives of this land. Sovereignty was never ceded. by @tallrelativesband$

E.G.O.S IS FINALLY RELEASED 🥳🥳🥳🥳

linktr.ee/tallrelatives - ⛓IN BIOOOO

This ABSOLUTE monolith of a song has been a long time in the waiting, and we could be any prouder to finally give this song to y'all to finally stream to your hearts content.

We'd like to give a huge thank you to @sambassal from @oceangrovemelb for Mixing and Mastering this single - Sam, I think everyone listening to this will agree that this is the fattest TALL RELATIVES release to date.

If you weren't across it already, we'll be launching this single NEXT SATURDAY NIGHT at Bar Open, alongside the legends in @brandbandau and @exportsband_ - tickets can be found in bio 🥵🥵

Thanks everyone for your massive support, it's been tough losing gigs and having to reshuffle dates, but all in all we know your gonna love the future for TALL RELATIVES, starting off with the god damn rambunctious E.G.O.S 😍😍😍 by @tallrelativesband

GIG UPDATE; VENUE & DATE CHANGE - BAR OPEN SATURDAY JULY 10TH

Hey everyone, we want to say thank you for all the massive support we've had for the gig, if it wasn't for each and everyone of you then we wouldn't be able to have this giggin machine tuned so finely.

Sadly with the fun of the COVID restrictions coming into play, our gig tomorrow at The Last Chance Rock & Roll Bar will be moved to Bar Open on SATURDAY JULY 10TH. We tried everything we could to get the gig live for tomorrow, but at the 11th hour we had to reshuffle the cards. A HUGE fucking thank you to Jake and the legends at Last Chance - without them we wouldn't have been able to have this gig up and running in the first place.

The other huge bummer is that Heavy Amber sadly can't play the new date we have, but we're bringing back our good mates in Exports to keep this gig as rowdy as it could've been. Go light up Heavy Amber's socials to suss their events for their next big gig!

All original pre-sales will remain valid for this gig, we still have an incredibly tight capacity so make sure you get a pre-sale early, or you will indeed miss out on getting into this rowdy affair.

Thanks everyone for understanding, we can't wait to get back on the stage 🔥🔥🔥 by @tallrelativesband

A new chapter of Tall Relatives embarks, with our eccentric new single E.G.O.S!

PRE-SAVE RIGHT HERE // OR LINK IN BIO
https://distrokid.com/hyperfollow/tallrelatives/egos 🔥 🔥 🔥

Our second single for the year, 'E.G.O.S', begins our sonic movement into a more experimental and nuanced approach, with the new elements of synth being brought into the mix. This allows for a more interesting take on our trademark in-your-face attitude, combining with sombre dynamics, to deliver heat to the moshpits, but also emotion to the listener.

This rowdy affair wasn't possible without the mixing and mastering from producer extraordinaire @sambassal (Drummer & Producer for @oceangrovemelb ), and his meticulous yet ground shaking production. Sam's keen eye for detail really allowed us to create a beast that can not only fire up the crowd, but help capture that essence of a rowdy Tall Relatives show for you to hear at home.

Dropping Friday July 2, E.G.O.S will be the guiding force that pushes Tall Relatives into newfound territory, while pushing the barriers for moshladended-tunes.
