If you know us, you probably know Jovi too.

What started as one of our mom’s jokes “We’re only getting a dog if we name it after Bon Jovi” turned into 16+ years with the most loving girl we could have ever asked for.

She was there for all of it. From middle school to college, grad school, bar prep, four dogs, two babies, first steps, + every milestone in between. She was always right there by our side (or in our purse).

Everyone said she lived the best life—and they were absolutely right.

Whether she was perched up on her blanket “throne”, sunbathing and totally cool in 90 degree heat, taking her beloved walks around the driveway, tailgating in Michigan, prancing through the streets of Charleston like the bunny she was, claiming her rightful seat at the dinner table, or enjoying her daily gourmet meals under the high chair (or from a fork), she was always treated like a queen.

She loved cashews, blueberries, eggs, and popcorn. She was as smart as a they come, never needed a leash + lived for a car ride that almost always led to a sleepover. We always said yes.

But the place she loved most was wherever her humans were. She was happiest just being with us. Let’s face it, she really was human herself.

And she loved everyone she met along the way. Whenever the doorbell rang, she’d muster up her toughest “pit bull” bark, only to greet every visitor with kisses, flash her signature smile + immediately roll over for belly rubs.

That was Jovi, our fiercely loving 6lb girl- As Enzo + Auggie knew all too well.

She may have been the smallest of the 3, but Jovi was always the one in charge. The other two happily followed, and when she stood her ground, they knew not to argue. Jovi knew best.

She was the leader of our pack. Our fearless protector. Our constant. She always made everything better.

Thank you for 16 years of unconditional love, loyalty, and the happiest memories. There will never be another dog like you. You were one of a kind. Our forever missing piece.

We will always love you.
