May was a little busy. Music, theatre, repeat. Let’s relive it! 🤩 First, there was a bougie private concert at a mansion in Miami (followed by appropriate Miami shenanigans). Next up, there was Babyface shimmying with showgirls in Las Vegas. 🕺🏾Then home for Braves swag and a game too (go Braves!). A quick hop across the pond had me looking at Aaron Pierre in a London theatre. 🎭 Got a crash course on the London theatre scene (I’ll be back) and looked at some stuff they stole. Then back home for “a tale as old as time” and the (more rain than shine) 49th annual Atlanta Jazz Festival (and the first time I’ll see The Roots this month). 🌈 Finally, headed out one last time cause Jay-Z decided to make his way to the stage, at a picnic in Philly. And it was absolutely worth it BUT (every year shouldn’t feel like it’s your first time doing this) the only way The Roots are getting me back in Philly is if they bring Luther back from the dead. 💀 Otherwise, the year is progressing quite nicely and we’re fast approaching the time for birthday behavior ✈️ #miami #lasvegas #london #philly #atlanta by @tamara_wanders

April recap… It got weird, but here are the highlights! Started off the month in Botswana, but there’s another post on that magic (and I still don’t want to talk about what happened in Kenya 🤬)… then there were Broadway shows in Atlanta and on Broadway! I saw Megan Thee Stallion in Moulin Rouge 🥰… then off to Houston for the Black Is Tech conference (had to dig out my work clothes 😅) and I got to see Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak 🤩 by @tamara_wanders

I know I don’t usually talk to y’all, but this is important! I was just chastised by the airline agent in Botswana for not having enough blank pages in my passport 😅 and this is why I get annoyed when customs agents stamp my passport in the middle of a random page. 2026 already has a lot of moving parts! January officially wrapped circling back to 2025 😅 Intentions have been set, goals outlined 🙏🏽 And while the US is an absolute dumpster fire… #FuckIce #FuckTrump #LockedThemAllUp #VoteThemOut … I managed to stay somewhat sane, between meltdowns, with a few great people and activities I enjoy… an unexpected win at home 🏈, a trip back to Dakar 🇸🇳 (and the best marathon date that I’ve ever had 🥰), Championship fútbol 🏆⚽️, amazing food (even though some of it was looking at me 🫣), and ending with cozy winter storms and the universe telling me I’ll be back in #Senegal soon! 💋 by @tamara_wanders

Q4 had a few of my favorite moments of the year 🥰 My favorite music festival #OneMusicFest had some of my favorite artists and my favorite vegan food, there was also a movie with the symphony, Kaytranada in Chicago, the Falcons and Berlin #RiseUp, a Broadway show, Erykah Badu on tour, #DakarFashionWeek in Senegal, and wrapping this year up in a way only Atlanta can #Gucci #AtlantaSymphonyOrchestra by @tamara_wanders

Q3 appears to be a little calmer because baseball was in town! #gobraves Started off spending my birthday at the ballpark, then straight back to the airport to visit two more birthday girls (and a puppy), then there was #Beyoncé, All-Star week, #Algebra (sounding more amazing than she looked), more baseball, wine and art (an expensive combo), my natural, talking crazy at the park, the best puppy, a masquerade, a little football #riseup, and a relaxing week in #Bali 😌 by @tamara_wanders

OMG Q2 was insane to narrow down… we have bougie travel experiences, Australia (my seventh continent!), Kendrick Lamar (yes, I saw him twice, at home and at home), volunteerism, the family girls trip (love those women), the Roots Picnic (yes, I saw Maxwell again and Lenny freaking Kravitz), definitely one pic where I don’t remember where I was 😬 - but I was cute, so…, always gotta have a little quality time at the house, Wu-Tang is for the kids (Method Man is for the ladies), the Nola wine fest was entirely too much fun, a quick vegan food run and spa days are a must… cause yes, everything hurts 😅 #australia #kendricklamar #sedona #rootspicnic #wutang by @tamara_wanders
