🥇 Country Swing Novice J&J at @swingtober

💃🏻 @tamaralikeacameraa
💃🏻 @ameliasmobley

I was so nervous to compete as a lead against everyone else who leads as their primary role! The night before I had to convince myself to buy the competition ticket, and I’m so glad that I did! All those years of teaching the basics with @southernsouldancing really paid off 😅 taken in The Barn in Sanford by @tamaralikeacameraa

First time Tamara and I ever competed in a strictly and it was the most fun and goofy dancing we’ve had! This dance is the definition of what our experience was like and I’d do it all over again! Thank you @tamaralikeacameraa for the dances!

Stepping back into competing country swing was a scary and exciting decision. I’m typically behind the scenes of events or on a judges panel that I haven’t had too much experience dancing in the spotlight with some people whom I’ve learned from, looked up to, and have grown with over the past few years. Getting called up to the podium with Jacob in front of my students, fellow dance instructors, mentors, and other dance professionals was an unreal experience. Thankful for this community 🫶 Happy to have a space where I can continue to become a better student, teacher, community builder, and dancer🧑‍🩰 taken in Coral Springs, Florida by @tamaralikeacameraa
