Better Late Than Never, the EP, out now

🩶BETTER LATE THAN NEVER🩶
i’ve fantasized about and worked toward this for so long i can’t believe it’s finally here.

the writing, recording, and release of these songs has been my ultimate pursuit of joy. authenticity and individuality are the most valuable currency, ESPECIALLY in a world that can make us live a life only for the sake of having a good answer to someone else’s questions. nothing has felt quite as right as music has always felt to me.

the narrative/concept of this project heavily revolves around the reluctance that can come with letting go of the past and accepting that things aren’t the way they used to be, and the fear of the passage of time in general. it crosses between the pain of shedding and moving forward or the pain of staying stagnant with ghosts in a reality that doesn’t exist anymore. nostalgia never seems to detach itself from me.

i am so proud of this body of work and i’ve fallen in love with writing music again because of it. i’ve fallen in love with the process before the result. it took me a long time to get clear on why i started writing again and what i wanted to say, but even after so much time it will always be better late than never.

thank you @joeyauch for being such a song wizard and working with me over the past 10 years. thank you to the people who inspired these songs. thank you to me for seeing this through with an open heart🤲🤲🤲🤲
