Counting my blessings.

We had Dad and Tamara over for dinner the other evening, and after they left, I reflected on how blessed we are to still have them physically here. We got to watch home videos with them present, not in lieu of them being gone. We got to laugh together, eat together, and hug them. These are things I am so incredibly blessed to have.

Dad and Tamara are still struggling financially and fighting with insurance. This hasn’t been an easy road, but we are continuing to try to bring normalcy back into their lives. They have missed out on the traditions in weekly bike rides on beautiful days and the yearly bike week trip. We hope to give them purpose, bring Joy and something to look forward to.

Everyone knows the burden of financial stress. There are things out of our control that we are having to wait on, and we are not sure how long that waiting game will be. We all know from experience that during those waiting periods, fear and anxiety tend to grow.

If you are still able to help in any way, it would mean so much. Dad and Tamara are still out of work while trying to keep up with monthly bills, daily expenses, and additional copays from referrals and doctor appointments related to their injuries.

For those who have continued praying, checking in, and reaching out, thank you. Right now, the greatest need is helping them navigate the financial burden that comes with having no income while recovery continues.

Please let me know how I can pray for your family. I know we are not the only ones carrying heavy burdens right now. Hearts have been heavy lately, and I feel that deeply.

You are not alone.

I love you all. by @tamaraonly
