Saturday night’s opening for No Rain, No Flowers at @abvgallery was such a special evening. This show, in partnership with @atlantaagainstcancer, invited artists to explore how loss and love can coexist— how beauty still grows from difficult places.

AAC’s mission is “Transforming Atlanta’s relationship with cancer by expanding what it means to be a part of the cancer community.” That message resonates deeply with me. My piece, “After,”was inspired by my personal journey of navigating life after the loss of my mother to acute myeloid leukemia two years ago.

View the exhibition through November 9th and available works online via the link in the bio of @abvgallery

When the meeting could have been a concert.🤘That’s marketing on Tour, babyyyy.

Faux rock bands. Terribly amazing puns. Surprisingly legitimate musical talent. An absolutely UNREASONABLE commitment to the bit.

All for an incredible Halloween celebration complete with trick-or-treating foster kids and associate families. 🖤🎃👻

My first Halloween at @locumtenens_com is a 10/10. No notes. Somebody call our manager (she’ll get with you when she’s done giving the tour). by @tamarapaints

Another @dragoncon in the books! Loved catching up with friends, meeting new people, trying new things, and making the most of these five days. This con is like a fever dream of creativity and passion… and I cannot get enough!! If you’ve veen thinking about trying it out, here’s your sign! See you in 2027? #DragonCon2026 by @tamarapaints

No because I don’t think you understand how much I LOVE Project Hail Mary. The book (@andyweirofficial you continuously impress!!). The audiobook?? Don’t even get me started- that’s probably the BEST narration I’ve ever had the honor of experiencing (@the.ray.porter is amaze amaze amaze). The movie couldn’t have come at a better time; we needed this. It gifted us hope and love and beautiful cinematography and a phenomenal soundtrack. The practical effects and puppetry sing to my SOUL. And I cannot wait to meet other PHM fans at @dragoncon this weekend! I even snuck in Marriott carpet!!

From my Petrova line woven necklace to my texture visualizer prop (aka eye-pad) made from an iPad box- I have poured my heart, soul, and creative energy into this cosplay and I cannot wait to unveil the complete look tomorrow morning on Good Day Atlanta with @paulfromfox5 and with everyone at the photoshoot on Friday. #DragonCon #ProjectHailMary #TamaraCosplays #sneakpeek

PS I might be traumatized by those giant satchel style pockets WORTH IT by @tamarapaints

Dragon Con is celebrating 40 years of fandom this year, and seeing everyone share what this wonderfully weird place means to them has me feeling ALL the feelings. 🥹

These are 13 years of Dragon Con, going all the way back to my very first con in 2013. Thirteen years of costumes and characters and creativity. Countless friendships. A million memories. And likely a million more things I’ve forgotten, but somehow I can still FEEL them when I’m there.

Because @dragoncon feels like coming home.

It’s a place where I get to be completely, unapologetically myself. Or I can pretend to be someone else for a little while. Both equally freeing!!

And somewhere along the way of masquerading as a princess or villain or even an NES controller that one time… I discovered pieces of myself, too. (I also discovered pieces of carpet in a dumpster but that’s a whole different story and this is already getting long 😆)

Dragon Con has pushed me creatively in ways I never expected. Every year I learn that I can make something I didn’t know I could make. I’ve tested my skills, my patience, and occasionally the structural limits of E6000. 😂 I’ve sewn and painted and cried sculpted and engineered and stared at something at 2am wondering WHY DID I THINK I COULD DO THIS?

But then?? Then I put it on.

And suddenly I’m walking through this enormous, living, breathing art gallery surrounded by thousands of other people who also decided to make the thing, wear the thing, build the thing, or become the thing they love.

This morning I had the honor of getting Atlanta hyped for @dragoncon on Good Day Atlanta with @paulfromfox5 - this might be my new favorite, made me feel like I got a bonus day of con! With @aquariustaughtme + @strangewayftw + @artemistyck + @the_sorta_rican_ we had a little something for everyone, and I hope you’re feeling inspired.

Thanks so much for having us, @fox5atlanta, and letting us share our creativity and passion with Atlanta!

PS stay to the end for bonus Fiyero 💚 by @tamarapaints

Is time go!!! My celebration Rocky is really coming together this weekend! Just finished my faux paper hat fascinator. I am way too excited about Dragon Con this year!! #ProjectHailMary #AmazeAmazeAmaze #TamaraCosplays by @tamarapaints

Atlanta friends!! Yours truly will be on @fox5atlanta Good Day Atlanta tomorrow morning! Tune in to hang out with a few local cosplayers, a special industry guest, and @paulfromfox5 as we talk about @dragoncon and costumes!

Im still so surprised to be invited- it’s an honor, and the most exciting way to kick off my favorite week of the year! Rocky isn’t *quite* ready so bringing Cruella by request!

📷 shoutout to @jasonclayphoto for snapping one of my favorite pictures of my Cruella when I first debuted her!

Making it feed official!! Here’s a peek at my Rocky inspired cosplay! I’m so enthralled by @projecthailmary (both book and movie) and KNEW I wanted to create something special for @dragoncon this year!

That mottled skirt is going to be made from the coolest rock print fabric I found from @moodfabrics (thank you for the option to order/quick delivery on samples, I was able to compare several different rock fabrics irl) and I’m going to paint the gemstone-like accents onto.

I’m thinking about adding gloves (see the second side) but can’t decide if it’s too much… What do you guys think?

The third photo shows the absolutely stunning corset I got from @french.meadows - I’m going to try not to permanently alter it because I have a lot of ideas for that beauty. (I ended up settling with the fabric sample on the right btw)

Also, considering making a purse that looks like the capsule thrown back-and-forth in space!! I have a whole month why not add another project lol

PS I can’t wait for you guys to see my idea for Rocky’s protective ball panels on the dress… if it works!! by @tamarapaints

Laundry? Sorry, gotta hand place a zillion mirrors first. 🪩✨

Enjoy this quick process peek behind my piece “Event Horizon” from @404foundatl Dreamscapes show earlier this year! #TamaraPaints #atlantaartist #discoball
