It’s been a roller coaster year, finishing my memoir, “Buckskin Rides Again,” while helping my parents make big decisions about where and how to live out their lives. In this season of life, I can’t help but look back on the many iterations that brought me to this particular version of myself. I shake my head, I cry a bit, and I send apologies to those I hurt as I was trying to figure myself out. I’m still a work in progress, and grateful to those who have helped me grow. I don’t care who you are or how much talent you possess, writing and publishing is a rollercoaster and my pal Betsy Thorpe as watched plenty of us struggle AND succeed. Good stuff here for the good days and the rotten ones alike. by @tamela.rich

After WWII these lady head vases from Japan flooded florist shops. Mine is from my great grandmother and I change the flowers weekly. All year ‘round. Do you have one of these in memory or the attic? by @tamela.rich

Thirty-seven years ago, I welcomed my first baby into the world. February 11 will always be Mother’s Day for me. Carter’s “second mother” Carola joined me to surprise him at work, where we sang Happy Birthday, and the rest of the staff joined in. His patrons then surprised him with cake and a fun kazoo serenade. I'm so proud of him for being a man who brings such happiness to the world. Happy birthday, Angel. by @tamela.rich
