I'm excited to also be able to tell the stories of some of Faribault's pioneers: Ben Day, an African American man, well-loved in the community, who owned a barbershop in the old Nutting Hotel building at the turn of the 20th century. by @tami_resler_pottery

The rumor going around the office today - which I choose to ignore - is that we should expect 3 - 10 inches MORE of snow this week. That's hedging your bets on the part of the forecasters. But I think what's certain is that I will not be gardening this week. Which means I will not be encountering any of the wonderful and questionable things that I love to see all summer. So instead, I have made some mugs that bring the outdoors indoors.

I finished a couple of small clay sculptures that will be part of the raku firings later this year. A chipmunk and a mole.

Nearly every Sunday as I drive to my aunt's house, I pass by an old truck parked on a lawn. I finally took a picture of it and let it inspire me to make some mugs!
