2025 has been slow for me as far as going to shows, never mind shooting any. I didn’t think I’d get to shoot the band this time around, so when the opportunity presented itself, I guess I made up for lost time and snapped so many pics that it’s taken me a full week to go through them all. Zero complaints though; 100% worth it every time 🤩

This is gonna be kinda long, so the TL;DR is that TS&TRH have a new album out that you should definitely go check out!

. . . . . . . . .

(I debated putting this story out there, but I think the laugh is worth the humiliation.)

The second ever time I saw Biters (the first time, I was waaaay in the back of the venue), after their set was over and they were breaking down their gear, I yelled out, “Tuk!” And when he looked my way, I yelled, “I LOVE YOU!” 🤣 If you know me at all, you know how out of character this is for me; I get super uncomfy when any sort of attention is on me. And yes, I was 100% sober. But something about seeing that powerhouse of a live set just came over me in the form of momentary Tourette’s.

Over the years, I’ve traveled to see Tuk with Biters and now The Restless Hearts so many times that I should probably be on some sort of watch list 😅 And over the years, it’s been inspiring to see how hard he works at his craft and the ways in which this has shown through in his music, especially to see his gift for songwriting develop to where it is today.

Tuk Smith & the Restless Hearts released their new album (Rogue to Redemption) today, and it is the masterpiece that we fans have been waiting for. The music has killer hooks, of course, but the lyrics are what make this a gem 💎 IMO. Anyone familiar with his history from Biters to today (a quick Google search can fill you in if you’re not) will probably feel a range of emotions when listening to this record, and it’s truly inspiring to witness someone have so much resilience, perseverance, and fighting spirit.

He has the best bandmates along for this ride now (probably my favorite lineup to date - musically, how much fun they seem to have together on stage, and genuinely as people), and I’m so excited to see what’s on the horizon for them.

Always root for the underdog, and never say die ♥️

Bit of a ride on the struggle bus with these photos bc I was in a good amount of pain (I’m having surgery on my hip next week) and in the worst possible spot front and center (IYKYK), but I’m glad I decided last minute to make the trek to Nashville for this show. There’s a reason these guys are my favorites; if they’re ever playing near you, go check them out!
