“Man, this part is definitely one of our favs ♥️, coming up with BVs and really just having fun with it🍻🥂. This was one of the last pieces of the puzzle we needed to add to the mix prior to flicking off to mastering 🤙🎼🎶!” taken in Papamoa Beach by @tammaexplosion

I’ve been enjoying stepping back from social media lately since working at Twitter and becoming a mum to the cutest little lady😍
But now it’s time to release some tunes!
On the 9th of March I’ll be sharing the first single release from my band @focal_band EP!🙏✨💥

This tune came to me on the avocado orchard, inspired by my greatest loves. I took it to the band where we arranged and workshopped it, the song effortlessly took a path of its own.
The guys went up to record with the legendary @tombroome at his studio up in Auckland.

I was lucky enough to record the vocals in LA with amazing human and insane producer @calbarter (Courtney Barnett, Kurt Vile) someone I’ve always wanted to meet and work with. It was the most challenging and rewarding day for me recording this tune as I was 39 weeks pregnant and about to go into labor any minute haha. Great story to tell Leileh when she’s older.

Here’s some pics of me in the studio in LA, the band and the sunrise on the orchard.
Out this Thursday, spreading a little bit of love from us to you xx by @tammaexplosion

Reflecting on a massive 2022, it’s been wild! Exciting, challenging and full of beautiful and scary change. Most of which I decided to keep offline so I could be in the present moment.

Here’s a few snaps of what I’ve been up to 🤍
At the start of the year I was invited to carry out some exciting work at Twitter so we packed up and moved to LA where we lived with 2 of my besties.
I got engaged to the man of my dreams in Hawaii (good choice Bede) I recorded an EP remotely with my band and had some of my loved ones visit.

The real show stopper though was Bede and I welcoming our healthy, beautiful, cruisy little music loving baby girl Leileh into the world ❤️🤩 🥰MELT!

Takes a village and I’m so grateful for my amazing mum for flying to LA to help us in the newborn haze, our awesome mates Drea and Pirks for having us live with them, my inspirational leader Chez for looking out for me, my darling friends Eleanor, Mish and Robbie for visiting from Aussie and NZ and the most incredible humans for delivering Leileh, Molly, Nedra and Erin. Tom, Cal and the boys Lau, Dave, Stan, Danny and Mike for an exciting EP on the way!
Love you all mountains 🫶

That’s what I’ve been up to!

I’m not one to post loads of baby pics but if you find yourself in our hood come and meet her💕
