Today is release day for my new book, Where Are You Now, God? 💙

I’ve carried this message in my heart for many months, waiting for this day to finally release it into the world and trust that God will take it to the places and people who need it most.

This morning I woke up and saw a yellow butterfly flying around my backyard. Then, about 30 minutes later, as I was leaving the house, I saw another one in the front yard.

I held back tears.

Trent was color blind, and yellow was his favorite color because it was one of the colors he could see sooo clearly. So every time I see a yellow butterfly, I think of Trent and heaven...and I smile.

And once again, I was reminded of God’s presence.

How He shows up in the big ways and the small ways...even the yellow ways...to remind us that we do nothing alone.

Even today.

Even while celebrating this book. He is right here. Right now.

And I know He is cheering me on. Not simply because I wrote a book, but because I was obedient to write it...even when I wasn’t sure I had it in me.

God is such a good, good Father.

So here’s to release day. To all this book means to me. To every person who had a hand in helping bring it to life. And most of all, to every person who will open these pages needing hope, healing, encouragement, or simply the reminder that God has not left them.

I love you all. 💙

Keep talking to God today, even when you can’t see what He’s doing. Bring Him the things that weigh on your heart, the things you don’t understand, and the places where you’re still waiting for an answer.

Sometimes, those very moments can draw us closer to Him, not further away.

There are some seasons you know you’ll carry with you forever. Italy was one of those for me. 🇮🇹❤️

I chose this trip very intentionally. To celebrate and honor Trent’s life 25 years after stepping into heaven AND the release of my new book, Where Are You Now, God?

From walking and shopping through Positano to private boating along the Amalfi Coast. Riding the chairlift in Anacapri to boating around the island of Capri. Swimming in the Tyrrhenian Sea, Gelato in Naples and then riding Vespas through Rome. We made memories I’ll never forget.

So many times I would catch my breath and say, “God, look at all You’ve allowed me to experience.”

Not because life has always been easy. It hasn’t.

But when you’ve walked through hard places, you learn not to rush past the beautiful ones.

This trip reminded me again that life can hold both the memories of where you’ve been and the joy of where God is still taking you.

And I am soo deeply grateful for both. ❤️

What a weekend of ministry. ❤️

The ABIDE Women’s Conference at Faith Church in Summerville SC was sooo amazing! And I pray that through every word I shared and every song I sang, that the girls heard the goodness and faithfulness of God.

And then today…Lakewood Church in Houston.

Such a full-circle moment.

The last time I was there, Trent was with me. So to return all these years later and share the stage with Pastor @joelosteen sharing a little of my story, and talking about my new book “Where Are You Now, God? and how we find God in the middle of our hardest seasons was such an incredible honor.

So once again…I say…

Send me, Father God.

Wherever You call me, I will go.
Whatever You ask, my answer is YES.

Even on five hours of sleep. 😳😵‍💫

I’m tired tonight…but my heart is FULL.

You are with us in every hard place and You are faithful in every season.

Prayer was never meant to be our emergency line to God.

Yes, we absolutely run to Him in trouble. We cry out when life hurts, when we’re afraid, when we don’t know what to do. But prayer is also where relationship is built in the quiet places, the ordinary days, the moments when nothing is falling apart.

Prayer keeps our hearts connected to the One who is with us in every season.

So don’t wait for the crisis to talk to God. Know His voice before the storm comes. Walk with Him before you need rescuing. Let prayer become your first response, not your last resort.

And if you’ve ever found yourself asking, “God, where are You in all of this?” my new book, Where Are You Now, God?, was written for that very place.
