📚ARC BOOK REVIEW📚 THE TRIPLE PLAY BY @juliajarrettauthor AVAILABLE NOW! Thank you to Julia for the advanced copy as part of her ARC team! 🥰💕 Welcome to Book 3 of Julia’s Cedar Creek Thunder Series! The Triple Play can be read as a standalone, and is Julia’s first venture into why-choose romance. She understood the assignment! 😂🔥 What I loved most was how real and emotionally believable this MFM relationship between Foxxy, Griff, and Olivia felt. There were conversations, hesitations, complications, and consequences. Because a throuple relationship isn’t just about the three people involved—it affects existing relationships, friendships, family, and how the people around you see you. And Jarrett actually let her characters grapple with all of that. I especially loved the way Foxxy and Griff’s friendship was part of the equation. They couldn’t just ignore what changing their relationship might mean for them.🥹💕 Griff and Foxxy each brought something different to Olivia’s life, and watching these three find their balance was messy, sweet, tender, and oh-so-steamy! 🔥 Olivia was adorable, and her obsession with lichen was such a cute little detail! Plus, Griff and Denver are both cinnamon-roll golden retrievers for her in their own completely different ways, and I LOVED that for me. 😂🥰 Romantic, tender, spicy, and full of heart! 🍂📚September's books have entered the chat! 🍂📚 I had a pretty good month considering how busy September was for me on the home front! The majority were ARC reads which put a big dent in my netgalley and had me up to like 92% ! I met some new authors, re-visited with some favorites and did my personal best for pages read this month in a book club challenge. I'm looking forward to some great October reads! ✨️Book Review✨️ Sidelined Souls by Sarah A. Bailey Book #2 of the Celestial Cove Series Available Now I’m not okay. Not even a little. 💔 Sidelined Souls absolutely wrecked me emotionally and mentally. Archer & Ally had me feeling EVERYTHING. The love. The heartbreak. The longing. The sacrifices. The moments where you desperately want to reach into the book, shake them both, and beg them to just TALK. 😭 Their story wasn’t always pretty, in fact, most of the time it was down right messy and their relationship wasn’t ever perfect, but there was something so painfully real about the way they kept finding their way back to each other. No matter how much hurt stood between them, that connection never completely disappeared. And that’s what got me. Because sometimes loving someone doesn’t make things easy. Sometimes it makes them harder. Sometimes you have to lose each other, break a little, grow a lot, and somehow find your way back. And Archer & Ally? They did that, and they took my heart with them each and every time. 🥺 Being a second-gen story made this even more emotional. Getting to see familiar faces and watch the next generation navigate their own love story felt like coming home… only to have Sarah A. 🪵🍂Arc Review🪵🍂 WOOD YOU BE MINE by Daphne Elliot Releasing November 10, 2026 🪵🍂 Sexy lumberjack + flannel + fall vibes? Wood you believe I was ALL over this one?! 😂🔥 I’m already a fan of Daphne’s lumberjacks after the Maine Lumberjacks series, so this was an easy yes for me. Give me the beards, flannel, axe, small-town setting and a dirty-talking lumberjack and I’m sold! Henri and Alice had chemistry from the second they met, but what I loved most was how GOOD they were for each other. ❤️ They supported and encouraged one another, communicated, respected each other, and there were no games, lies or unnecessary drama. Just two people figuring out life and falling in love. Henri was everything I want in a grumpy lumberjack. Rugged, gruff and intimidating… until Alice, Goldie and Tucker brought out his soft side. 🥹 Watching them create a loving, safe little family was one of my favorite parts. I also loved Alice as a curvy FMC and how relatable her journey felt. And Buttercup and Brawny?! 🥹❤️ Those nicknames hooked me! 💫💫Book Review💫💫 The Witches of Cambridge by Alice Hoffman Available September 9, 2026 Gothic atmosphere + dark academia + secret societies? Absolutely. 🖤 This was one of my most anticipated reads of the year and my first Alice Hoffman book. While it didn’t quite blow me away, I still really enjoyed it a lot and loved getting swept into its witchy, atmospheric world. Witchy stories aren’t usually my go-to, but the historical fiction lover in me was hooked with the dual timelines. We move between 1950s Cambridge during McCarthyism and the story of the “first witch of Cambridge” in the 17th century, with the two timelines slowly weaving together. I especially loved Lilith House, a secret society where budding witches like roommates Lauren and Ava, new to school and from very different backgrounds, can live, study and practice their craft in peace. Lauren and Ava couldn’t be more different, and I was drawn to their complicated friendship. All through the book I saw them as black & white, light & dark, good & evil... Add sisterhood, family secrets, forbidden romance, generational trauma, and the ever present threat of being hunted through both eras and there was plenty to sink my teeth into. 🔮 It was an atmospheric and intriguing read. This was outside my usual genre, but I’m very glad I took this witchy detour.🌑 If your fall TBR is craving dark academia, witches, secret societies, dual timelines, and plenty of gothic atmosphere, this might be the perfect book to add to the pile. 🍂🖤🔮📚✨ My heartfelt thanks to Simon & Schuster Canada for my gifted copy of this book. 🏒🎨ARC REVIEW - MAC MEYERS NEEDS ME BY Helena Hunting Available September 10! 🏒🎨 MAC AND FEE!!! 😍💕 I was SO invested in these two right from the beginning! I’m not usually a huge friends-to-lovers girlie, but the mutual pining + fake dating to real dating?! I was absolutely HERE FOR IT. 🙌🔥 I loved watching them navigate all the big feelings, awkwardness, uncertainty, and that terrifying moment when the realization that their friendship just turned into something so much more hits them. Their emotional connection was EVERYTHING for me, and the way they supported each other while also giving us all the sweet AND spicy moments?! 🥹🌶️ YES PLEASE. They were just THE SWEETEST couple! And can we talk about the cameos and all the connections to the Terrors and Helena’s other books?! I was GIDDY every single time a familiar character popped up! 🤩 I will NEVER get tired of getting little updates on characters I already love! 🎧 Alex Kidd and Kate Auden were PERFECT as Mac and Fee and brought these characters and all their awkward, and big emotions to life so well! AND THAT TEASE FOR THE NEXT BOOK?! 👀😱 I NEED IT NOW.
