Its is not the mountain we conquer but ourselves! Leadville is two sides of one coin, terror on one side and triumph on the other side. I decided to trust the process and my training and give this race all I had! Thank you to everyone who helped me along the way @theshiftcycles for getting my bike race ready! I decided to go with specialized fast trak tires and I rolled alot faster! Thank you @movestudiosdenver for getting my body organized and firing correctly for this massive ride! Heart is full, legs are smashed, tummy is f***ked up! I couldnt have done it without MY CREW @rad_brian76 @logan.a.radtke @crowebar8 checking my equipment, fueling me and telling me that they believe in me to finish this race to get the damn buckle! The day was beautiful and to top it off I got to ride my damn bike all day and thats one of the BEST DAYS EVER!!! by @tamrad3

LEADVILLE training! First day was Columbine. It is a 8 mile up and back starting at 9500 feet ending at 12,500 feet. It is a pretty relentless climb at the top!! Because of the fire in Leadville by turquoise lake, they are rerouting us and we are not able to do the same race as last year so it looks like tomorrow I’m gonna be checking out the Eastside trails which are supposed to be super gnarly chunky and steep so that’s gonna be fun! by @tamrad3

Those who know me well, know how bad that I have struggled on the shooting only stages with only a few years of shooting experience under my belt so I was ecstatic when I had the fastest womens overall time in the spinner stage! Had a few more misses than I wanted on the other shooting aggregate but happy with the speed, reloads and transition time. Props to my husband for shooting such a great video of the berm for part of it 🤣 All and all wabi sabi and so happy to be a part of this amazing community and experiencing the joy of learning something new, putting a few years of hard work in and being able to accomplish my goals slowly but surely! For those of you who want to start something new, jump in with both feet and never look back! Keep showing up and the results will start to manifest in due time! Leveling up!
