What, When, & Where:
 The Preliminary Round is a knowledge check that can be taken anytime from 8 a.m. to 4 pm on Tuesday, October 20, at Rudder Tower.

Round 1 will be a group case study presentation. This will run from 9 am to 12 pm on Wednesday, October 21, at the MSC.

Round 2 will be a team warehouse simulation. This will run from 7:30 am to 9 am on Friday, October 23, at the MSC.

Additionally, there will be a networking session for competitors and industry sponsors. Take advantage of this amazing opportunity to grow your skills and meet with potential employers! by @tamu_seed

This week in lab, students filmed their discovery step video. The Discovery Step focuses on asking questions to research, identify, and magnify a buyer’s problems or needs. The salesperson should listen carefully, ask open-ended questions, and dig deeper until they understand the problem and its financial, operational, or emotional impact. The goal is to uncover and summarize a meaningful problem, not jump into a solution too early.

Our guests were Robert Bernal and Mark Guidi from Texas Air Systems.They were able to talk about what they do and answer questions students had. Thank you to Robert and Mark for coming in! by @tamu_seed

Another week of labs is done!

This week we had Shawn Phillips from RS Americas and Sara Rose and Michael Maltbie from SRS Distribution, our TIES sponsor this semester.

We got to hear a little bit about the companies and what they do, while also starting the Discovery Step of the sales process. This week was all about learning how to ask better questions and really dig into what the customer needs. Students got to role play with our guests and coaches to help prepare for filming next week.
