Meet our vice president, Calista Tijmes💓✨

Calista is an Industrial Distribution major, graduating in 2027.

When asked “Why PAWS?” Calista answered: One of the things that drew me to PAWS was the welcoming environment it creates. I still remember going to my first informational and meeting a girl who would later become my big. She greeted me with the biggest smile and an even bigger personality, instantly making me feel comfortable and like I already belonged. That moment perfectly reflects what PAWS is all about. Every girl in this organization works to create a space where everyone feels seen, valued, and included. I love that we’re able to connect through our shared passion for helping animals, but what has meant the most to me are the genuine friendships and support I’ve found along the way. To me, PAWS is so much more than an organization. It’s a community of women who truly care for one another and build relationships that last far beyond our time at Texas A&M.

Meet our treasurer, Aubree Bedford💓✨

Aubree is an Animal Science major, graduating in 2027.

When asked “Why PAWS?” Aubree answered: I chose PAWS because of the sisterhood that I saw first hand in this organization. I knew that this organization was full of ladies who love animals and giving back, and I immediately knew I wanted to be their friend!
Since joining, I’ve seen so many relationships form between the PAWS girls. From big/little to the officer team, girls have found their best friends in this woman’s org. I cannot express enough that the connections in PAWS are what makes it such an amazing place to be.
That’s my why!
