Gutted and heartbroken to find out the news. Wakeboarding lost the greatest to ever do it. The West Coast lost a pioneer and a true legend. The world lost a great as well as an absolute pure human. You know how they say you never want to meet your hero or the people you look up to because they’ll end up disappointing you? With Randall, he was different. He was the polar opposite of that. He really cared about the people he inspired and that was the coolest thing about him.

Episode 121 featuring @tanarpigrenet is now live!

Tanar Pigrenet went all but completely quiet when it came to being in the wakeboard world, but that didn’t come after years and years of riding, traveling, and filming. Originally from Texas Tanar got started riding at 16, and blew his knee out on a tantrum pretty early on, but that didn’t deter him from diving fully into the scene when the opportunity arose. Few ride with as much passion as Tanar does, and it shows on the water. Getting started riding in Texas, moving to California, getting shot with a nerf dart need in the…, family life, what happened with the noodle, sobriety, getting into the fight game, and the west coast influence. The bond between a coach and their pupil is a special and a crucial one. Especially within this realm. It’s a level of trust, that you don’t really invest into too many people, throughout life. The dynamic we have is crazy cool. The story of how we crossed paths is even crazier and even cooler. However, I’ll save that story for another time. My point being, I’m grateful to be coached by my best friend and one of the most skilled as well as dangerous featherweights in the ufc. What an honor and a true blessing. My brother, for real.

Just thinking out loud.

Talking about some of this stuff isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, and that’s cool. I respect everyone and the opinion they have. I’m not here to tell anyone what way or how to go about this journey we call life. All I can do is share what’s helped me on my journey, and that’s all I’m wanting to do. by @tanarpigrenet
