FW2026. The year we sweat like pigs. It was steamy. Electric storm steamy. More sandbar than bonfire steamy. Cut Aunt Amy’s hair off kind of steamy. But we did what we do and we loved every moment.

We had to say our final goodbye to my grandma this week. If you knew her, you felt her love. She grandma’d hard and she was a powerhouse of steady joy.

She was the kind of person who was excited to show you a hidden lady slipper, who signed off on Instagram comments with sweet salutations, and someone who you would name a houseboat in honor of. She was top notch and will forever hold a place in our hearts.

She left us with countless gifts, one of them being her beloved homemade bread recipe. So, obviously, I had to take a hack at it. by @tangelapeters

We lost our sweet Stella Bella over the weekend, Skye’s sister-from-the-same-mister and our favorite house guest. She was the biggest lover and we’re so sad to say goodbye. by @tangelapeters

2026 USASA Nationals Rail Jam lit some of Duke’s purest smiles ever shown. The comp was a fist-pumping, high-fiving, helmet-signing, sight to see. The kid was all gas, going big and landing every trick. He earned himself a podium and even claimed the judges choice, best trick award with his cab2 pullback.

It was an epic night. The MN squad threw down. Shit was electric. ⚡️

Slopestyle did not produce the same results, but Duke took it like a champ and is ready to bring it back next year, bigger and stronger.

Biggest thanks to all of Duke’s supporters helping him chase this dream. His teammates @buckhillfreestyle and coaches @vonshred @colesolner @lehmicke @joetotall @rytconway - all top dogs. @zombieboardshop and @burton - thank you for believing in Duke and gracing him with opportunities. Big ups to our badass home hill, @buckhill and the dopest regional series around, @uppermidwestsnow . To all the homies and family helping to lift this kid up, thank you!

Shoutout to @lakesuperiorfreestyle for their insane success at Nationals this year and for always bringing the heat.

This was not the trip we planned. Big Bear delivered unseasonably warm + dry conditions with slopes glazed in crunchy, man-made snow. Mammoth nuked us with 5 foot of freshies that would swallow you like wet cement. We clocked just 2hrs at Bear and two runs at Mammoth. I’m still crushed.

Buuuuuut, it was also DREAMY. Meandering mountain roads. A coyote encounter. Supernatural summer slopes. A Mom-Cam reunion. Pinecones the size of yo’ face. Dr. Seuss inspired landscapes. And then, the storm. The chunkiest of snowflakes. An instant behemoth burial. Snow buffered silence. Fireside solitaire. Puzzles + Pinot. Blustery whiteouts. Towering snow caps on moving vehicles. It was magical and memorable, and still so fucking devastating.

I hold no beef with Mother Nature. This was a significant storm with severe flooding, mudslides and avalanches. Massive efforts were made to keep operations going and people safe (thank you patrollers and mtn ops!) We were humbled by the storm. We’ll gamble on bluebird days with pink steel another time. For now, we’ve realized how good we’ve got it on our home hills. 🤙❤️❄️ by @tangelapeters
