Wrestling season flew by this year with only 1 kiddo wrestling. Spook has been out with elbow trouble since Oct, had surgery in February & hopefully released by the end of summer to get back on the mat. Bode wrestled a few times with the middle school this year & moved up to 12u. He’s growing every match and I’m so proud of his grit this season. Things weren’t always easy, but he gave it his all and he’s finding his own way. Papa even got to come watch a tournament - which Bode & Kase both won! I feel like I blinked & this season was over, I’m already looking forward to next year! by @tangirae

Happy 13th (a day late) to our baby who is now a teenager!

She’s my best friend, shopping buddy, concert pal, aux in the car hog, wrestling obsessed, bossy big sister & cousin, daddy’s girl. She keeps straight A’s with sometimes 9 practices a week + tournaments. She never complains about our late night drives & thinks a slushy fixes most of her problems. She works hard, stays focused on her goals & is wise way beyond her years.

Her kind heart, funny personality & drive for excellence will take her as far in life as she wants to go. As high of expectations that her dad & I have for her, she never fails to rise to the occasion.

My highlights of watching her this year:
- Beach time layout buddy
- Singing all the songs (usually endless Hank Williams Jr.)
- Her being comfortable & confidant as her own person, even in the midst of middle school girls
- Her playing most plays trying football for the first time
- Winning 6/7th division at JH State
- Her kind & giving spirit - always wanting to do and buy for others

Cheers to having a teenager & a division 5 wrestler! by @tangirae

Happy 11th birthday!
This year was a big one full of many firsts:

Called in his own turkey
Tagged his first bear
Chased his first antelope
Spent many hours alone in the stand & knocked down his first bow deer
Harvested his biggest buck to date
Visited the ocean for the first time & fished in the ocean
Won his first regional wrestling championship

If you want to know about turkey calling, knife sharpening, deer hunting, shooting a bow, or fishing for any fish - just ask him. This kid knows all about it! by @tangirae

OKWA State weekend.

Spook is the 12U 98 lb State runner-up. Spook finished a great season & I’m proud of the work she’s always putting in behind the scene. I can’t believe she’s headed to her last division of little league wrestling next year!

Bode is 10U 73 lb 6th place. He really wrestled great this year & I’m so proud of him. He’s headed to division 4 & I’m not ready for my baby to be that old!

We spent our last weekend at Jim Norrick and it was bittersweet. We will all miss that dusty place & hard wooden seat someday. We have spent many weekends, countless hours, shed a few tears, and celebrated with triumph & joy many times! The HTC crew is better than any other, our coaches go above & beyond, our wrestling friends are my favorite. I’m sad the season is over already! by @tangirae
