The transition from 12U to 14U was tough, some boys look fully grown, some are tiny, and boys like Omani have another year to find that grit and speed! I’m so grateful that my kids give me so many fun moments and memories, and appreciative of the family and friends who support them! Was amazing to have one of the kings of lax, Ansley Jemison come to Bismarck to talk about the creators game and awesome that Omani was interviewed by the news (even though they totally misspelled his name!) by @tanksi.clairmont

Our 2026 Cum laude, student athlete graduate! She has done so well for herself and positioned to meet all the milestones life has to offer! Many months ago I was excited when asked to present at the annual Think Indigenous conference…a couple weeks later I received an invite to the Think Indigenous Northern Plains Jingle Dress Championship, definitely an unexpected double blessing! On 1/1/2026 I started a new set of beadwork, I had a plan for green beadwork for a while now so I could match my 3 kids…I designed it with elements from their beadwork💚 and 7weeks later danced in it! I wore a piece of beadwork from each of them…my big son’s medallion, Bbgirls belt, and Babyson’s lanyard, I felt so whole…What an inspiring and challenging 24 hrs, going from delivering a presentation on Tribal Energy Sovereignty from 3:40-4:30pm, to switching into competitive dancer mode from 7:00-9:30pm, and back at it the next morning talking before 800+ people! My partner has heard me present several times, but my Babyson Omani hasn’t and he kept asking “are you ready, are you nervous, do you know what you’re going to say? I feel nervous for you!” When I was done, I sat back down and he said “you did so good mom!!” And at the end of the day I do everything I do for my kids, for my family, for something much bigger than me… Wopila Tanka to the Think Indigenous staff, in particular Chris Scribe for envisioning and championing Indigenous education spaces! taken in Regina, Saskatchewan by @tanksi.clairmont

She played her first basketball game at 4y/o and 18 years later she played her final collegiate game for Augsburg University today! She’s always played so hard all these years, she’s never complained about injuries (broken nose, concussion, shin splints, blisters, knee pain) or playing time, she’s always earned every minute and every ounce of respect, she’s always played much bigger than she is, and she’s always managed a 3.6gpa+… she’s literally my idol is so many ways and has given me so many amazing memories (1000+ videos in my phone!) and for that I am so grateful! The journey wasn’t easy but it was worth it! ❤️🏀 by @tanksi.clairmont

Season and home opener Thursday for Auggies Women’s Basketball, and Wakinyela Bear set the tone. Her family filled the stands to celebrate her birthday, and the team came out strong against Martin Luther in a 69 to 48 win. This already feels like the start of a special season for the Auggies. Happy Birthday, Wakinyela!

There are moments in life that make us, change us, break us, uplift us, and guide us…Tuesday morning on June 25, 2019 was one of those days and moments that forever changed how we live and move forward without him physically here. We know, feel, understand our relatives are always with us! My brother was such a proud old soul, he always talked about how it was in the old days and I know he’s lived many lives in many eras, not only does he legally carry the Iron Shell name but he resembles chief Iron Shell in so many ways! I like to believe he left on June 25th because he was a victorious leader in the Battle of the Little Bighorn on June 25, 1876 and they needed him back 🙏🏽 I can only speak and share my own journey in dealing with our loss but also proud of how we’re all supporting one another and carrying on in the best ways we can! I am grateful to my family for coming together this past weekend to memorialize him with a Denver Indian Community feed and giveaway, we did our best and appreciate those that shared their time in person and sent messages of support, thank you 💙 taken in Denver, Colorado by @tanksi.clairmont

Sooo happy for my Bbgirl! She works her butt off as a collegiate athlete and starting point guard for @augsburgwbasketball and maintains a 3.5+ gpa! She’s just a beautiful wonderful daughter, sister, relative, and friend! She’s humble and so deserving and I’m so proud of her! Thank you Paskemin family for hosting such a generous special, she’ll be rocking this beautiful beadwork at the next powwow! 🧡🧡🧡 by @tanksi.clairmont
