Today was my only real shot at catching my first Georgia bull red. After a long paddle to a remote island beach, I ended up hooking into my PB in the first 30 mins. The big girl was also my first surf caught redfish & first fish on the Penn Fathom casting special.
Huge shoutout to @surfpaddlesoulvet for sharing his local knowledge & helping make this possible. Such a great day accompanied by great people🤘

No monster but she’s my first top water snook. Tied the choppo on expecting a jetty jack, I did not expect a snook to go airborne for it! Landed a bull red on it as well but she flopped off the rocks before I could get a pic. I’ll be dreaming of days like this when I’m in GA/SC/NC for the next couple of months. I like doing weird stuff, like surf casting choppos for river bass..
I usually don’t target the green ones but the brown ones are hard to come by in August. Haven’t had much time to fish but words cannot explain how much I have missed this place. First time bass fishing in several months. Back to the salt here soon! taken in Chattanooga, Tennessee by @tanksonly_

Last week I had the pleasure of putting the man who taught me how to fish on the first snook of his life. She fought a lil harder than the ditch pickles he’s used to;) He was smiling big but I was smiling bigger. It is extremely tough going as long as I do without seeing family while I’m on the road, but having the opportunity to make memories of this caliber when they come see me is incredible. I got to play fishing guide today & put my family on some true South FL surf staples. Lil bro jumped a tarpon & caught this stud jack & I helped my mom pull in this 38” turbo snook that SHE hooked. Sharing my love for South Florida with my family, who flew here from Indiana to see me, means everything to me. Couldn’t have asked for a better day off with them.

10” scandal eater + frog eater. I know I’m going against the username with this one, but sometimes the prize isn’t the size of the fish; it’s the method by which it was caught. It’s post spawn, this wasn’t some bed fish being territorial. The slow motion glide of the scandal brought this peacock bass up from the depths 5-6 times before she decided she wanted a taste. I’ve always hated wide glides but I think I’m starting to get it..

Wicked couple of days hunting the silver giants. The bite was super tough, and I mean SUPER tough, but @reelfishing_charters made sure we got tight. Surreal experience.
