I am super excited to announce my commitment to Rogers state university for Track and Cross Country. Thank you to all my coaches and teammates at Platte County who helped me along the way and got me into this position. Lastly, thanks to Coach Kennedy and Coach Helton for giving me the opportunity to run for RSU. Can’t wait to get to work! 🏔️🐈❤️💙 by @tanner.jenks

“Disappointment is the nurse of wisdom”- Some random dude

I am very sad to say that I just had my last high school race I will ever run. But it was a school record relay so that’s pretty sick. But I always knew it would go by fast but you never think about how short ur time really is in high school sports and you never think it will end. I will miss all of my friends I have made along the way from many different schools and I hope I get to see them in college. To Blake Herron, u are one of the most motivating people I have ever met u pushed me everyday and even when I got injured u made me come back as fast as possible just so I didn’t have to hear ur trash talk which I hated at the time but I am very thankful for because u made me better in every way. I know u have many great things coming ur way just never settle for anything, never think anyone is better than u, and know that I always have ur back. Thank you for being my wingman for 3 years I will never forget the memories u and many others gave me.(If I wrote about everyone this would be too long so sorry smitty) Lastly thanks to my 4 coaches I have had the pleasure to look up to, u all know who u are. I will miss having u guys a lot I am very lucky I got the people surrounding me I did. I am very sad to leave the family I made behind. But thank you for all the lessons, laps, laughs, and memories to everyone I came in contact with, you all made one of the hardest things the best. 🏴‍☠️♾️ by @tanner.jenks

Dear Cross Country,

Thank you for all the lessons you have taught me. I took you for granted most of the time and I didn’t realize how much u meant to me. Thank you for the 6am runs around the track, the Ben letcher recovery runs, the gans creek trips and all the fun stuff that happened there 😉 , and lastly the leaders and coaching I had. To the role models I had, I would not be who I am today if it wasn’t for you, you taught me what hard work and dedication can get you, and how much work it takes. I was quiet freshman year and u all welcomed me in and made me feel like a brother. Lastly to the coaches, you all worked so hard for us to be successful and I knew that if I followed the plan I would be right where I wanted to be, I am very lucky to have had u all.
