Nate is joining our team this year as one of our Skate Church KC Program Directors

If you ever mention “Skate Church, Skate Ministry, and Kansas City” in the same sentence, someone will bring up the name “Nate Tano.”

Nate planted the seed of Skate Church KC in the early 2000’s with his skate ministry, here in Kansas City. Hundreds if not thousands of people were impacted by his leadership in skate ministry.

He brings wisdom and experience to Skate Church KC that is unmatched as well as an incredible ability to connect with students.

And yes, he can still shred!

Here is why Nate is excited about Skate Church KC:
“What I love about skate church, is that we meet kids right where they are! By providing some food and water it eventually breaks down walls and allows us to point people to Jesus 💯”

I feel like we worked on this and waited on it to get here for months! This was hands down one of my favorite events this year, and high up there ever! We were so blessed to have @unspokenmusic at our church this past weekend! It was so special to see everyone get to experience a live show with our dear friends that our kids have grown up loving! Huge thanks to our pastor and @real church! Grateful to have @life885 there as well, and it wouldn’t be a stop in Kc without the best bbq in the land @meatmitchbbq. Thank you so much to everyone that volunteered and gave to make this happen, we have some of the best folks ever! 🙌🏼 SKATE CHURCH KC SPOTLIGHT 🙌🏼

If you’ve been around the Skate Ministry culture in the last few decades, chances are you’ve heard the name Nate Tano.

Nate led a Skate Church in Kansas City from 2000 - 2018. Without knowing it, we started Skate Church KC the same year Nate took a break from leading Skate Church. The years of ministry Nate has led here in Kansas City are still making a difference win the lives of the people that attended Skate Church.

We are so thankful for Nate’s heart for skate ministry, encouragement, and investment into the lives of skateboarders here in Kansas City and all across the world. Since his involvement in Skate Church KC he has been a positive influence, friend, and advocate for leading people to Jesus.

I had the best time with my number 1 homie last night! For the last few years I’ve been camping solo, it was literally the perfect night having @elamgg join me💯

Happy birthday to one of the brightest lights In my life! Amanda you were the first person to show me what REAL love looks and feels like, and you still remind me and show me that everyday, even when I don’t deserve it! You are beautiful inside and out and anyone that is blessed to have you in their life is better for it! I hope you feel loved and special today! I started playing disc golf this summer and I have really started to love it! This afternoon I took a break and played a quick 9 hole course at Sarko park with my pastor! After we were trying to ace hole #2. He had to leave but I decided to throw a few more, on the last set I recorded it and I’m glad I did. My fifth throw of the first video was my first Ace! 123 feet with my Discraft Zone! I wasn’t sure if I would ever get an Ace, best I can describe it as is like landing your first kickflip! Excuse the little kid that came out when I heard chains! Stoked by @tanos_table

Elam at the park for his senior portraits. My dude reminds me of me at his age (yes, that’s what old people say). Even more so because our second half of the shoot was spent in the gym! Pretty fun being back at the skate park!
