The Atal Marathon was successfully conducted on 26th April 2026 with tremendous enthusiasm and participation, bringing together over 700 runners from across the islands. The 5 km run commenced from Cellular Jail and concluded at Marina Park, passing through the scenic route of Mazar Pahad. The event was a grand celebration of fitness, unity, and community spirit, with participants displaying remarkable energy and sportsmanship throughout the marathon. Cash prizes of ₹15,000, ₹10,000, and ₹5,000 were awarded to the top three finishers respectively. In addition, medals were presented to the top 50 participants in both men’s and women’s categories in recognition of their dedication and achievement. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the title sponsors, Tanishq and CaratLane, for their valuable support in making this event a great success. Special thanks to Mr. Tanveer Singh and Mr. Jaikar Singh, proprietors of CaratLane Jewellery, for their generous contribution and encouragement. My sincere thanks also go to MERAKI for their collaboration and support. I extend my gratitude to Shri Devdas, President of Athletics Association, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, for his guidance and support. A special note of appreciation to the Police Traffic Department and SVPMC for ensuring the smooth and successful conduct of the event.
