Part 2 … Less than 40 calories brownie bites

No flour. Zero added oil. Made from scratch. And the key ingredient? Squash 🎃

Ingredients (25 bites):

* Small squash (~2.36 lbs) – ~200 cal
* 2 scoops protein powder – 260 cal (I use whey protein it bakes better but vegan protein works too)
* 2 eggs – 156 cal
* 1–1.5 tbsp unsweetened cacao powder – ~50 cal
* 1.5 tbsp cottage cheese – 20 cal
* 6 walnuts (optional) – ~175 cal
* 2–3 drops monk fruit sweetener (or sweeter of choice)
* ½–1 tsp baking powder
* ½–1 tbsp vanilla extract
* Pinch of salt

How to make:

1. Bake squash at 400°F for ~30 mins until soft. Cool, peel and remove seeds.
2. Blend ONLY the squash into a smooth puree. Store-bought pumpkin puree works too, I like to make it from scratch.
3. Transfer to a parchment-lined baking dish. Add eggs and remaining ingredients. Mix by hand just so much so that it is uniform. I don’t use the blender because then the brownie does not bake well, it can be runny, or not fluffy enough.
4. Bake at 350°F for 30–40 mins. I prefer 350°F because 400°F tends to overcook the top. Do the knife test in the center after 30 mins to decide what time works better.

Cool to room temp and cut into small bites!

Calorie math

~861 calories per batch ÷ 25 = ~34.4 calories per bite!

A little tip: Unsweetened cacao adds bitterness, so balance it with your protein powder’s sweetness and monk fruit. Skip walnuts to reduce calories and fat.

Save this for your next chocolate craving 🤎 by @tanviralhan

Challenge you to go for a run while the ingredients get themselves ready to become brownies

Brownies from scratch, under 40 cals per serving, less than 30 minutes of prep, and your oven/air fryer does most of the heavy lifting.

For everyone heading to Diwali & Bollywood parties over the next few days… consider this training material.

This week was all about making a deliberate and dedicated effort to Dance, Dress Up & get those Daily Steps in

Effort for me, BAU (business as usual) for @dr_upma 😂

Covered some of my fav SF’s parks and vista points while getting our 10K steps in. Non-negotiable, no excuses!

Maa Ralhan came prepared with a choreography to teach me, and, we made it extra by “refining” it at every new location 😉💃

Maa Ralhan is a breath of fresh air. She brought so much joy with her …living far away from home and family comes with its own sacrifices. Having her here made me realise just how much I miss these little everyday moments together ♥️ MINUS me trying to keep up with her dressing UP game 😉 by @tanviralhan

10 of 365 days I get with her doing our fav things in and around our SHEHER.. pure bliss!!
