🌖Have one of the secrets I have been keeping for months.

🌖A Darkness Rather Blacker is probably the most challenging book I have ever attempted. There have been a lot of starts and stops. The content is difficult and grief horror is always draining. This is my book about mothers and how monsters make us liars.

🌖A Darkness Rather Blacker releases in Oct. of ‘27! Thanks for letting me write books that scare you!

🥀 Thank you all for the wonderful reception for the cover of HER WICKED ROOTS! @tropicalgloom and the art dept at @gallerybooks are geniuses. ✨Flawless execution.✨

🕯️In this queer reimagining of Nathanial Hawthorne’s classic Gothic story, “Rappaccini’s Daughter,” a young woman is lured to a lush estate ruled over by a reclusive, enigmatic botanist who might be hiding some dark secrets…

🥀 …and two beguiling daughters.

🕯️A Gothic tale of horror with elements of romantasy for fans of Starling House, The Death of Jane Lawrence, and Lucy Undying.

🔪Thank you @fredandjunes for hosting me and the lovely @delilahsdawson as we peddled our wares to the masses!!! Thank you for the INCREDIBLE treats, displays, gifts, and to the incomparable @thewitchylibrarian_ for moderating like a boss babe!

🩷 Thank you to everyone who came out and bought books and listened to us scream about horror (and let me steal photos because I suck at taking them)! I will post more (as I steal more 😂) but am in an airport lounge headed to Merrimack Valley Halloween Book Festival and wanted to get a head start!

🖤I was asked to pen an essay for @nightmaremagazine by the incredible @wendy.n.wagner and I asked if I could write about final girls and how maybe they have survived long enough to evolve into something more than accidental survivors and she let me and well…

🖤I like it.

🖤And I would love you to read it.
