Whilst everyone else has been maxing out their annual leave in 35-degree Europe, the UK has decided to have its best summer in years. 🥹 Let’s be honest, a run of weather like this doesn’t happen very often, so I’ve been making the absolute most of it. ⛰️

Living in the Lakes has never felt more rewarding, and these days in the Welsh mountains shooting for our project has reminded me exactly why we started it in the first place.

I have also had the chance to properly test out the new OM SYSTEM OM-5 Mark II thanks to the team at @omsystemcameras.uk, and I’m seriously impressed. Carrying a lighter camera on big mountain days is an absolute game changer, especially when you’ve still got hours of climbing ahead of you. Small enough to forget it’s there, but it punches well above its weight when it comes to image quality. 🔥📸

Now I just need the British summer to keep doing its thing… 🤞🏔️☀️

Summer’s well and truly arrived in the UK these past couple of weeks, and I couldn’t be happier. 🥹

From the chaos of @lovetrailsfestival 📸, to evening dips and frolicking with friends 🌊, to taking the win 🥇 at Wasdale Fell Race (on the altered course) in some absolute furnace conditions. 🔥🥵
27°C. On a fell race. In the Lake District. Who’d have thought?!

It’s been a bit of a whirlwind, and I’m completely here for it.

Long may it continue.

Somewhere between the races, the ridges became the reason I run. ✨

Over the last few years, skyrunning has completely changed the way I look at running. It’s shown me corners of the UK that most people will never see, from narrow ridges and gnarly scrambles to sunrises that make the early alarms worthwhile.

But the mountains are only part of it.

One of the things I value most (and can also be the hardest) is finding people who share the same appetite for adventure. The kind of people who think lugging cameras into the hills for 10+ hours, setting alarms for stupid o’clock, and spending an entire day on a mountain ridge sounds like a good idea.

A lot of the wild places I’ve fallen in love with through skyrunning are places I’d never have discovered without John. Safe to say my world has become a lot bigger because of it.

The more time I spend exploring these mountains, the more convinced I am that some of the best skyrunning in the world is right here in the UK. 💯⛰️

A week to remember 💫☀️⛰️

From downpours and cold af winds on Skye 🥶 to scorchio and sea dips in Torridon 🥵🌊. Scotland never disappoints. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿👌🏼

Lots of miles, lots of vert, ridiculously lots of food, surprisingly not lots of midges but most importantly lots of smiles. 10/10 week up in the mountains with my pal @big_friend_mountain_academy

Turns out chauffeuring myself and @elliott.waring around Snowdonia all weekend was finally enough to finish off my tiny little Mazda 😂🫣

This is #skyrunning.
Full focus. Full commitment. Wild conditions. Strong legs. No room to switch off.

A proper few days of flow state up in Scotland, out there shooting, moving, and making the absolute most of every hour we had.

It never disappoints. Partly because of the place itself, and partly because I get to share these wild adventures with my pal @big_friend_mountain_academy.

Absolutely ideal if your goal is to trash your legs.😅🤘🏼
