We wanted to share a bit of the heart behind what we do: serving others with the hands God has given us.Journal entry from Dr. Bethany:The Dominican Republic offers more than just a mission trip. It transformed me. It lead me to a genuine sense of selflessness. Made me think of Jesus... I felt like I could make such a huge difference at a place that needs the most repair and help when the greatest place that needs the repair was me. How could you truly serve others if you aren’t healed yourself? I will always give thanks to God for the impact this mission trip had on me. It stirred a fire in my heart to serve others for the rest of my life, just as Christ came not to be served, but to serve. I came across something that said, “If you want a village, be a villager.” So we tried our best. We showed up and gave all the love we could. But truth be told, life has a way of tiring you out especially when opening your own small business.One day, I blinked… and there it was. A village.People who check in. People we can call without hesitation. People who could easily be an emergency contact.While our hands grew tired, His remained open.
