‘’De wereld heeft er geen boodschap aan want die draait gewoon door’’Toen Roos van Tuil, frontvrouw van Tape Toy, zes jaar geleden haar broer verloor, kwam haar wereld abrupt tot stilstand. Terwijl de rest van de wereld doorging, voelde zij een totale verlamming. Ze kon en wilde niet vooruit. Ze wilde simpelweg bij de herinneringen blijven.Een anonieme vragensteller liet aan Brainwash weten dat haar levenspartner onlangs op jonge leeftijd is overleden. “Terwijl mijn vriendengroep druk is met jonge kinderen en hun nieuwe levens, lijkt er voor mijn verdriet geen plek meer te zijn.” Zij vraagt zich af: "In hoeverre is er ruimte voor rouw als je vrienden in een andere levensfase zitten dan jij?"Bij Roos zorgde de verlammende rouw voor een drang naar escapisme. Een manier om te vluchten wanneer het leven te zwaar wordt. In het nummer Crosswords bezingt ze het moment waarop zelfs een simpele afleiding als een puzzel maken of een boek lezen niet meer lukt, en je alleen nog maar voor je uit kunt staren.In hoeverre is er volgens jou in onze drukke maatschappij ruimte voor langdurige rouw?#rouw #escapisme #rouwverwerking #dood by @tape.toy
