POSTS STORIES REELS

Story submissions for the 2026's 12 Scares of Christmas are now open! As with the last couple years, Tapes of Trepidation is looking for Christmas/Holiday themed stories of all kinds to narrate for the most wonderful time of the year! Stories must be between 300-2000 words, have very minimal or no dialogue (appropriate for single narrator), and not feature any animal harm/death or sexual violence of any kind.

The hard deadline for story submissons will be November. 15th at 12 pm EST, this is so I may get them out to guest narrators with as much time as possible and begin my own narration/production work. I'm going to try very hard this year to not have things so last minute for production, lol

If you have any questions, please contact me! I can also send over my story submisson guidelines or direct you to my Discord where you can also find them! by @tapesoftrepidationpodcast

A clip from Tape #113 Side Effects - “The pressure headache is worse than ever, and I'm not sure, but I think I have a fever or something. Maybe I'm getting sick? I swear, I keep hearing voices around me... It's kind of freaking me out. And yes, I stopped taking those pills. Can't believe I was dumb enough to take pills I got on the internet..."

Well, this is pretty damn cool. As of October 22nd 2026 Tapes of Trepidation just hit 10,000 downloads. That's pretty awesome, but the coolest part? We were at 5000 on January 3rd, 2026.

It took about 1 year and 9 months to hit 5000, then it only took about 9 months to hit 10,000. This past year has had some awesome steady growth for the podcast. The support has been amazing, and I honestly couldn't be happier. I love this, and the fact that this year we've had clearly visible growth is incredible to see. Obviously, this is small time when compared to others, but for me? I'm thrilled.

I'm not in this for downloads or to make a living at it or anything. I'm just a dude who loves narrating creepy stories and hopes to draw you into this world and escape the often times harsh reality of ours, even if for just a little while. All while supporting fellow creators who share in my passion!

After nearly 11 years of creating podcast content (about 3 with Tapes) the fact that I'm having more fun then I ever have and I'm more creatively fulfilled then ever is something I don't take for granted at all, but I also force myself to stop and smell the roses so to speak. This is why I always share these milestones. It's more for me than anything and my community.

Thank you to every single person who listens or has listened to my silly little horror story podcast and to my fellow creators who have been so unbelievably supportive and kind to this humble Canadian horror narrator.

Let's keep growing together! 💀🎙 by @tapesoftrepidationpodcast
