Nepal and the Himalayan region are close to our hearts. The landscapes, the craftspeople, the knowledge passed down through generations. It all lives in every rug we make.

Our thoughts are with the communities there who are facing the impact of the recent floods. We feel deeply connected to the people who make our work possible.

Analog research into shape, texture and transition. Studying how one tone ends and another begins.

From there: pushing hand-knotting to its limits. 89 colours + 6 undyed tones mapped across organic oval forms. Two pile heights that create depth within a single design. Every gradient decided by hand before a single knot is tied. by @tapin_studio
