Thinking of redesigning your website? Start here to be sure you’re on the right track. Ask yourself why: It’s best to start with the basics, no matter if your motivations are multi-layered and complex, or as simple as, “Our current website is really, really old and outdated.” Find your folks: You know your audience. Use that knowledge to help your project team effectively and meaningfully reach them. Give visitors a purpose: Whether your website is purely informational, educational, e-commerce or advocacy, be sure that visitors understand what is being asked of them. Learn from the past: Take a close look at your current website. Be honest and particular about what might be worth keeping and what needs to get left behind in the new build. List the functionality: Create an idealized menu of all the amazing things you’d like your new website to do, and then work with your project team to implement them. #designtips #webdesigntips #designadvice #strategies #creativeprocess #creativeagency #diggingdeep #uiux #userexperience #agencylife #freeadvice by @taprootagency
Twenty years ago today, Taproot was started in a garage by a guy named Sean trying to build something meaningful. That same Sean sat down recently with the Tallahassee Democrat to reflect on two decades of doing good work for good people. He shared our journey, which has included everything from toddlers underfoot in a home office to projects that have have helped shape our city while strengthening our team. More than anything, we’re especially thankful for the amazing people at Taproot who’ve helped us grow and improve over time. We couldn’t have done any of this without them. Hear’s to another 20 years. Today (9/8) is #988Day, a day to raise awareness around mental health challenges. We had the opportunity to help bring that message to life through a video campaign for 988 Florida Lifeline, created in partnership with @thenameisframe. Swipe through for a look behind the scenes at how the video came together. And help spread the word that support is there, whatever you’re facing. Your reason is reason enough. #988floridalifeline #988lifeline #mentalhealthawareness #mentalhealthcampaign by @taprootagency
September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, making it an important time to bring conversations around mental health into the spotlight. For the 988 Florida Lifeline, we helped bring that message to fans across Florida through a sports-focused campaign. The Florida–Georgia football game was a standout moment, with the message displayed throughout the event, while billboards, popups and promotional materials brought the campaign to soccer games and other venues as well. #988floridalifeline #988 #suicidepreventionmonth #creativemarketing #advertisingcampaign by @taprootagency
For the 988 Florida Lifeline through the Florida Department of Children and Families, we helped share a meaningful message to communities across Florida by creating print materials that encouraged people to take action to protect their mental health. From handouts and flyers to posters and signage, the campaign reached people in a variety of locations and spaces, helping them know that caring support is available when they need it. #988lifeline #mentalhealthsupport #mentalhealthawareness #mentalhealthcampaign #creativework by @taprootagency
For the Florida Department of Health’s fetal alcohol spectrum disorders campaign, we developed a range of print materials that carry the message into everyday spaces. From doctor’s offices to billboards, the message stays the same: when you drink, they drink. Swipe through to see the campaign in action. #fasd #fasdawareness #marketingcampaign #advertisingcampaign #creativeagency by @taprootagency
As part of our ongoing campaign with the Florida Department of Health to raise awareness about fetal alcohol spectrum disorders, we extended the campaign into radio to reach pregnant and potentially expecting mothers throughout Florida. Listen to the radio spots in action. The message remains simple and important: when you drink, they drink. #fasd #fasdawareness #advertisingcampaign #radioadvertising #messaging by @taprootagency
The Facts. Your Future. campaign for the Florida Department of Children and Families includes a PSA about the real risks teens face when it comes to marijuana. It follows one decision that could cost a teen everything he’s worked for. We helped shape the story and creative while @thenameisframe handled the heavy-lifting on set. Swipe for a look behind the scenes. #marijuanafacts #adcampaign #videoproduction #creativeagency #knowthefacts by @taprootagency
As part of The Facts. Your Future. campaign with the Florida Department of Children and Families, our team got to help shape the story and creative direction on a new PSA. It takes on the urgent risk of teens finding fentanyl in fake pills. Our friends at @thenameisframe brought the story to life on camera. Swipe to see some behind the scenes from the shoot. #fentanylawareness #adcampaign #videoproduction #creativeagency #knowthefacts by @taprootagency
It’s starting to feel like Christmas in July around the office. We’ve been working hard behind the scenes, with months of concepting, sketching and illustrating bringing this year’s holiday gift closer to production. Nearly two years in the making, it’s quickly becoming one of our favorite projects we’ve ever created. December can’t come soon enough. #christmasinjuly #holidaygift #btsdesign #creativeprocess #illustrationdesign by @taprootagency
