Edible & ecological landscape design in Seattle, WA📍
POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Watch as we transform this grass slope into something much more alive 🌻

Planted a lot of natives in between these boulders. Things like Kinnikinnick and beach strawberry to crawl along the ground and hold soil, evergreen huckleberries and red flowering currants to create a hedge along the top of the slope, and various flowers, sedums and grasses to fill the gaps with different colors and textures. taken in Greenlake Neighborhood by @taprootpermaculture_co

Sometimes that neglected patch of weeds in the corner of your yard just needs a little lovin’ 😘

After weeding this entire area we dug this rainwater catchment basin where the gutters from the house led to and planted native ferns and grasses in and around that low area. We then planted evergreen huckleberries, foxglove, lavender & columbines all throughout to grow and fill in the freshly mulched earth. taken in Maple Leaf, Seattle, Washington by @taprootpermaculture_co
