So the Oxford-Cambridge Boat Race is this Saturday, 4 April. According to Wikipedia it's the world's second-oldest inter-university sporting event (held since 1829). A wee bit of history there. 🙃Not so much history, but rather HISTORY IN THE MAKING when we host the first-annual Oxford-Cambridge Oat (yes, OAT) Race on the same day from 12pm, with support from our pals at @minorfigures.The intent: a celebration of our brilliant supply chain and products, and a light-hearted take on the enduring Oxford-Cambridge rivalry like you've never seen before.And the format?On race day two competitors – one representing Oxford, and one Cambridge – race against the clock while each transports a big sack of oats across Oxford from @proofsocialbakehouse, down the River Thames to @tapsocialmarkettap, and to the finish line at @tapsocialtaproom.All stops include some kind of oat-y goodness: flapjacks at Proof, coffee made with Minor Figures Barista Oat at The Market Tap, and an Oatmeal Stout on draught at our taproom.More info in our Events Calendar (link in bio).RUN THEM OATS, OAT RUNNERS! by @tapsocialmarkettap
