POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Got to visit the @abcbrisbane studio to talk about TapSpot yesterday 🎙️

What started as a frustration on hot days at the park, not knowing where the nearest bubbler or shade was, turned into a free map of 3,800+ spots across Brisbane, Logan, Moreton Bay and the Gold Coast that locals help keep up to date.

Huge thanks to Jay from ABC Radio Brisbane for having me and to Emily and the Logan Legends team for making the connection. Segment airing soon 👀

Logan crew, we have all been there. Halfway through a session and the tap is bone dry 🥵

I am building TapSpot to fix this. It is a green tech web app to help us make better use of our public bubblers and skip the plastic bottles 💧

THE CHALLENGE: I am looking for Logan locals to help map the city 📍

Add or verify a working tap on TapSpot (with a photo) by next month and you are in the draw for a $15 Woolworths gift card :)

Lets put Logan tech scene on the map :)

Winner drawn at random from valid entries and announced. Open to Australian residents. Not affiliated with Instagram, Meta or Woolworths.

You probably don’t know how many useful amenities/places are hiding around your city. 👀

Google Maps can help you find a restaurant.

But where do you find a free water fountain? 💧
A shaded place to sit? 🌳
A public BBQ? 🔥
A picnic spot? 🧺

That’s why I’m building TapSpot, a community-powered map for useful public amenities and places.

Starting in Australia 🇦🇺
Building for everywhere. 🌎

Know a spot we should add? Tag us below. :)

How it started vs. How it is going. 🛠️➡️🏆

On the left: TapSpot being officially nominated for the Local Business Awards.

On the right: Out in the parks at night, testing the app, mapping infrastructure and making sure every water station in the region is accurately logged.

Building a community-focused utility platform means putting in the groundwork literally. We are passionate about making public spaces more accessible and seeing that mission recognised with an award nomination means the world to our team. 🚀

If you love seeing homegrown, practical tech grow we would be incredibly grateful for your support.

👇 How to vote (Takes 30 seconds):

1. Click the link in our bio.
2. Search/Select TapSpot.
3. Place your vote!!!

Thank you to everyone who has used the web app, joined our Android beta or shared feedback so far. We are just getting started.💧

Staying hydrated and cool in Australia just got a lot easier. ☀️💧

I have been working hard on TapSpot, a community powered utility designed to help you find free water bubblers, shaded spots and BBQ facilities across our parks.

Whether you are a runner, a parent at the park or just out for a walk.. TapSpot helps you find what you need in seconds.

New Features:

🤖 Near Me AI: Search for spots using plain English.
✅ Live Verification: Tap "I'm Here" to let others know a spot is working.
🏆 Spotter Rewards: Get points for keeping the map fresh.

Built with Flutter to keep our community connected and sun safe. 🚀

Want to join the Testing Team?! I have limited spots available for Android users. If you want to be one of the first to map out Australia, DM me "SPOT" or comment and I will send you the invite link. :))

(iOS coming very soon. Stay tuned.. 🍏)

No more guessing. No more wasted time. 🕒

Ever wandered around a park looking for a bubbler or a BBQ spot that actually works? We’ have all been there. 🥵

TapSpot puts the power back in your hands. We’ve mapped:
🔹 Every water fountain 💧
🔹 Every public BBQ 🌭
🔹 Every shaded spot 🌳

"Just open and find." It’s that simple. Imagine if this existed everywhere... well, that is exactly what we are working on. 🚀

Check the link in bio to find a spot near you! 📍
