Buddy,
The night you left us everything happened so fast and I’ll always feel like I could have done more and what if we had done this or that, would it be different? Maybe this was wrong, this vet isn’t right?! What if you felt this way and it wasn’t what they said. Me searching everything to make it better. Why didn’t they tell me how bad it was long ago. Could I have saved you?! Would you still be here?

I beat myself up almost daily with these questions. You fought for a long time. Probably longer than I knew, this breaks my heart too.

I give my heart to very few people because when I actually do, I give it all. I love you with my whole heart there isn’t much room for anyone else. Thank you for the years of love you gave me, you taught me so much!

I miss the touch of your little paws in my hand and your soft fur on your head. Your smile when I came home, pestering and kissing you before you went to sleep, all our New Years cheers, Christmas eve present opening, the look in your eyes, that personality and how smart you are. I could go on.

There isn’t a day that’s gone by that I don’t think of you, I miss you, I love you.
