If you didn’t already know this week i’m partnering with my friends Shannon Cawley and Vanessa McCarley to raise money for the Junior League of Greater Lakeland!

Did you know that 1 in 5 children in Polk County lives in a household that struggles to put food on the table and clothes on their backs?

This kind of financial hardship doesn’t just affect today — it impacts a child’s health, education, and future.

Every child deserves to grow up healthy, hunger-free, clothed, and ready to learn — and we can help make that happen.

💛 Join me in supporting @JLGLakeland and the Little Black Dress Initiative.

Together, we can break the cycle of poverty.

Donate today at the link in my instagram bio or on my Facebook fundraiser page!

Another amazing Serve Day with Access Church! I love the way our church gets out and serves the community. If you’re looking for more hope in the world the best thing you can do is get out and serve others.

Huge thank you to the 400+ people that served today! by @tarajaleigh

YOSEMITE!

Accomplished a major bucket list item seeing Sequoias today. Some of the most awe inspiring nature i’ve ever seen. (Stay til the end for a lil cutie).

Thinking of Wendell Berry these past few days as we see such incredible nature and “rest in the grace of the world.” taken in Grizzly Giant-Mariposa Grove by @tarajaleigh

Just under 48 hours in San Francisco and we did as much as humanly possible! Highlights were definitely the Dahlia Garden in Golden Gate State Park and lunch for $8.95 in Chinatown.

The only issue was when the tour guide was listing movies filmed in San Francisco and didn’t bring up George of the Jungle.

What’s it like to have a home that doesn’t have little weirdos in it?

Personally, I will never know.

Safari Post 2 is saved for all the landscape photos.

It was hard to capture how vast everything was on safari. Miles upon miles of land, untouched and free.

It was easy to see God in the land in Africa. The symbiotic nature of the animals working together in unison. The crops that the people grew to sustain themselves. I could feel God in the breeze while we prayed.

As I tend my own yard at home i’ll think of these places and how I can be a good steward of what I have to preserve the plants and animals here. Too bad we’ll never have warthogs in Florida. taken in Masai Mara by @tarajaleigh

Safari Post 1!

How lucky were we to be on the Savannah during The Great Migration? We saw THOUSANDS of zebra and wildebeests. Very thankful for time enjoying creation (ya’ll know I love time outside) and seeing the vast expanse of the Savannah, untouched and free.

Looking at these photos feels unreal. We did this! And yes, we did bless the rains down in Africa. taken in Masai Mara by @tarajaleigh

I could post 100 photos from our time in the Migori village this week. Ive always heard things are different in Africa - the people and the land are beautiful and God is NEAR. I’ve never seen people more fervent in prayer. We saw literal miracles happen. I got to see my friends use their gifts in ways they never thought they would.

What we hoped would be 400 people in this small village ended up being over 700 people and they were all fed, prayed over and cared for. Women received sugar, soap, and sanitary pads but I think we all left more blessed after seeing the way they worshipped and prayed. All week sang a song called “Look What the Lord Has Done” and it was truly an anthem for our time there.

We will all be forever marked by this time and i’m blown away at all Delta, Bayli and the Take Heart team do in Kenya. What a gift! by @tarajaleigh

Spent our last morning in Kenya at the most amazing Fair Trade center. The women here are mostly refugees and are trained to dye and screen print fabric, sew, and more. After 3 years they receive their own sewing machine!

Such a beautiful place that empowers women and teaches them their self worth, and identity in Christ. You can find a lot of the things they make at the Take Heart store in downtown Lakeland! by @tarajaleigh

I’ve waited for this birthday for a long time… my Douglas Adams Birthday, the answer to life, the universe, and everything….42.

So excited to spend it with old friends and new friends in Kenya! We’ve had an incredible time with the people of Migori. There are so many stories to tell and this will be a birthday i’ll always remember! by @tarajaleigh
