Hollyhock House is a UNESCO world heritage site and ill play music beneath its willow tree. Old photo, new music, Yarrow in my eyes.
Thanks Jenn Witte and Hollyhock and Living Earth for taking care of me. This is Free and All Ages and will close the day in a sunset way. Come hang out.

Living Earth says…If a sunset concert of intimate story and open-hearted experimentation alongside a historic Frank Lloyd Wright house in an art park that overlooks the city sounds like something you might be interested in, then you’ve found your people.

Thank you to Porchfest LA for encouraging free, community-powered music throughout our neighborhoods. Thank you to Hollyhock House for organizing such a potent gathering on your own iconic back porch & inviting us to be a part. Thank you to the City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs for helping to support and fund an unbelievable amount of art throughout Los Angeles so that we can gather easily and freely with one another to share in stories, exploration, and transcendent moments.

TJO- In The Sun Lines was released on a few continents 9/10/2001-9/18/2001.
25 years is long but that season and its mean shadow was longer.
This video is from the European tour that fall, with Todd and Noel, made by our TM. Before that was the US loop.
Early September was a shorty with Papa M for the Whatever, Mortal record in the US and UK. All of us musicians traveling in the autumn of 2001 got to witness a lot of swift changes in the so called western world. On the Papa trip i had an entire row to sleep flying to London.
On the way back from the TJO Euro tour the Americans were corralled in to a separate section at the departure gate in Germany.
Internet wasnt really a thing. Smoking on stage was a thing.
I had left NYC two days before the towers came down. I had worked on the upper floors of WTC 2 as the Plant Girl when I first landed in NYC, 1994. I went to the still burning site after soundcheck at the Knitting Factory that October and left town with an upper respiratory infection.
This story isnt coherent but it feels real like it feels like the life of someone else. Just a story. I like reading yours.
Big Love
