What do I want to be when I grow up?

🚏I have the career goals.
🚏The places I want to see.
🚏The experiences I want to collect.
🚏And a thousand little things I still want to try.

But there’s something I want just as much, and it has very little to do with what I do for a living.

💓Then I realised, I don’t just want to become someone successful. I want to become someone who knows how to enjoy the life she’s worked so hard to build.

🎠Happy enough to find joy in the little things.
🎠Strong enough to face what life brings.
🎠Brave enough to make choices that feel like mine.
🎠And present enough to not miss the beautiful parts while chasing what’s next.

Because eventually, it’s not just about the life you create, but the person you get to be while living it.

❤️‍🔥Love needs two people.

A career needs you.

You can show up tired.
You can change direction.
You can start again.
You can outgrow one version of yourself and build another.

And every time you do, something comes back to you.

Experience.
Confidence.
Independence.
A little more of yourself.

👩‍💻Maybe that’s what makes having your own career so powerful.

Not that it replaces love.

But that it gives you something in life that is yours to keep choosing.

Because eventually,
some parts of your future should depend on your dreams, not someone else’s decision.

🪞 Advice has consequences too.

A few words can become a doubt.
A doubt can become a decision.
A decision can change a life.

And sometimes, we give advice because we genuinely believe we’re helping.

But we only know what we know.
We don’t live someone else’s life.
We don’t carry their consequences.

🌿 Then I realised,
good intentions don’t automatically make our judgment right.

You can offer perspective.
You can ask questions.
You can care.

But you also have to leave room for someone to say,
“Thank you. I’ll decide what I do with that.”

Because eventually,
if someone else has to live with the consequences, they deserve more than your certainty.

🌌 Of all lives, this.

This body.
This family.
This strange little collection of circumstances that became my life.

The roads I took.
The ones I didn’t.
The people I met.
The things I felt too deeply.
The moments I lost my way.
And the ones that somehow brought me back to myself.

I don’t know what the soul remembers before it arrives here.

But I like believing that somewhere beyond what I can understand, there was a reason this life became mine.

🌿 I don’t have to understand the timing of everything to trust that my life is not a collection of meaningless accidents.

Some things arrived.
Some things left.
Some things changed me.
Some things brought me back to myself.

And perhaps all I can really do is live this life with enough presence to notice the miracle of being here.

Because eventually,
faith isn’t always knowing why this life was chosen for you. Sometimes it’s trusting that there is meaning in being the one who gets to live it.

🧠 Pay attention to this.

We spend so much time inside our own heads that sometimes we forget—

our thoughts are an environment too.

🌬️ The things we tell ourselves.
🌬️ The stories we replay.
🌬️ The fears we rehearse.
🌬️ The voices we give authority to.

And then there are the environments outside us.

The people.
The places.
The conversations.
The energy we repeatedly choose.

changing what you allow yourself to live in.

🌾You can hate the ending.

You can replay it.
Question it.
Be angry about how it happened.
Wish someone had chosen differently.
Wish you had been given more answers, more consideration, more time.

You can even know that something wasn’t fair.

🌻But eventually, you have to decide what you want to carry forward.

Because letting go doesn’t mean saying, “It was okay.”

It means saying,
“It happened. It hurt. And I don’t want it to keep deciding how I live.”

Because eventually,
peace isn’t always getting the ending you wanted. Sometimes it’s refusing to let the ending own you.

🌊 The one who takes accountability.
🌊 The one whose actions don’t need a filter to look good.

🎉What if it’s already coming?

Not everything needs to be figured out before you’re allowed to be happy.

✨You can have unanswered questions and still make plans.
✨You can be uncertain and still get excited.
✨You can be waiting for something and still fall completely in love with the life you have today.

🎊Maybe that’s what being a little delulu really means.

Not convincing yourself that everything will happen exactly the way you want.

Just refusing to let “I don’t know yet” become “nothing good is coming.”

🪞Would I want this back?

That question has quietly become one of the simplest ways I measure myself.

⛲️Would I want to be spoken to the way I speak?
⛲️Would I want the patience I give?
⛲️Would I want the kindness I offer, even when I don’t have to?
⛲️Would I want someone to give me the benefit of the doubt?
⛲️Would I want to be forgiven without keeping score?
⛲️Would I want my choices respected, even when they aren’t understood?

🎐Maybe that is what it means to stand by the way you’ve chosen to live.

I’m not claiming perfection.
I’m simply saying—

if God gave me exactly what I’ve given others, I wouldn’t ask Him to change the rules for me.

Because eventually,
peace is knowing you’ve lived by a standard you’re not afraid to receive.

💅 Picky gets a bad reputation.

As if knowing what you want means you think you’re better than everyone else.

As if having standards means you expect perfection.
As if saying “this isn’t for me” means you’re impossible to please.

But I’ve started paying attention.

🌷To how something makes me feel.
🌷To what it asks me to compromise.
🌷To what becomes normal once I’ve said yes.
🌷To whether I’m choosing something because I genuinely want it
or because it’s simply what’s available.

💄Then I realised,
you don’t have to defend every preference you have.

🪷 Some things are negotiable.
🪷 Some things are preferences.
🪷 And some things are simply you knowing yourself.

Because eventually,
being selective isn’t about finding the perfect life. It’s about making sure the life you choose still feels like yours.

💅 Apparently, I’m being reviewed.

By people who don’t know the whole story.
People who see one decision and build a whole narrative around it.
People who have opinions about choices they would never have to live with.

And somewhere else,
someone is looking at the same life and thinking,
I wish I had the courage to do that.

👠Then I realised,
there will always be a commentator
who isn’t walking in your shoes.

Some will clap.
Some will criticise.
Some will simply watch.

None of them get a vote.

Because eventually,
your life is not a public poll.
